I had to leave my plants at my ex's house for a whille and well he dident care for them very well, this brug looks bad but i think they will be ok,
the thing i am wondering about is these curves it has taken on all of the tops on this plant are like this WIERD to me at lease, but i do like the way it looks
anyone have any ideas?
anyone seen this before?
My Creamsickle looked like that last summer. I grew it from a cutting above the "Y." Once it had leaves, it looked fine — like an oversized bonsai tree. You could leave it as it is and wait for suckers to form if you want straight ones. Kell suggests using plastic covered metal stakes when tying up the cutting. Wooden ones don't last very long.

Looks really neat!!!
That looks just great for this time of year. Nice new growth at the junctions.
I personally would cut it back myself but it is up to you. I prefer a canopy that is circular out from the main trunk all the way around. But it not like a rose where you will get mildew or worse by having it crossing over on itself. Like Veronica said, I bet it will leaf out and look OK.
You have plenty of time to get a good canopy in your zone. Usually I try to preserve more nodes, but feritilize it regularly and it will grow fast and even be denser for you.
Brugs go to the sun rapidly. If one of my seedlings falls over, by the end of the day it is ruined, the trunk is already bent too much.
Just what I would do.................
so its normal for them to curve? I think i like the look, im not even sure what color this one is lol someone sent it to me, alohahoya i think (thanks btw:)
my charles has been blooming in this odd weather we have been having odd odd weather....
I had one of my Brugs on top of a wardrobe near a South Window. It has stooped down and curved itself to the window. Looks healthy and strong, so I'm gonna just leave it that way. Kinda neat looking.
