Great pictures. I think I need Irish Flirt. : ) Glad you are enjoying the camera!!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Too bad 'Space Cadet' isn't blooming true... but it is still just gorgeous!

Laurie, I had 'Irish Flirt' on your wish list, but I'll take your name off that tiny plantlet since Allison has such a gorgeous one for you! April, the first plantlet out of that leaf pot is yours, but I'm pretty sure there are two or more in there, so arrangments could be made for those in need. ;-)

Shiawasee Trail (9023) 03/23/2001 (S. Sanders/R. Brenton) Double blue and white variable star. Medium green girl foliage. Standard trailer

I have grown both several of each. Ramblin' Lassie foliage is much more dainty smaller growing.
I think Shiawasee Trail foliage is more deper green and looks more like girl.
My Shiawasee Trail ( New Mom's name Laurie) has finaly bloom for the first time. But it bloomed the same color as Ramblin' Lassie. I am finding more and more
Sports are not stable and revert back. I was reading even Rob from Violet Barn said A plant they had a long time " The Alps " after years atarted blooming all whute.
Well here is the first bloom of Shiawasee Trail . It's a gorgous color. Never know it may change.

Abilene, TX

Love your EverGrace, Allison. Really healthy looking! Great!!!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks I grew it by leaf and some other EverFloris Space babies this one and some others have been promised to Deb a couple months ago just been too cold. Hope to ship them to her soon. I need room and their getting big and full of buds and I want her to have them to enjoy !

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Do all of your pots have holes in them? Some of them look like they would not have holes in them and I'm trying to figure out what to do about that. I found some really cute stuff to use for the tiny little pots but they do not have holes in them. You have some of the cutest little pots, the tiny saucers, things like that. Do you just water these from above?

JesseK

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh yes all my pots have about 5 or more holes each. I use plastic pots from one inch up. Their all wicked and if their in a cup or saucer I do put water in them. Even the little pot Kenton painted has a hole and I wicked it too !

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Jesse, some of Allison's pretty containers don't have holes, but she just pops in a plant in a plastic cup or pot that does have holes... it's as if the container is just a deep saucer. I have a bunch of mine in little dishes, teacups, etc, and I just remove the pot, pour in "enough" water, and put the pot back into the container ("enough" water varies betwen 1/4 inch and 1 inch, depending on the size of both container & pot, but basically I want them to soak up as much water as they can but not leave them sitting in a puddle).

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Kenton did you see the most prettiest pot the plant is blooming :))

Denver, CO

Thanks for pointing me to this thread, Allison. They are all looking so healthy; a picture is worth a thousand words. Critter mentioned that 'Space Cadet' wasn't blooming true, it is supposed to have fantasy marks, right? Thanks for saving that 'Rob's Slap Happy' for me. I jsut bought two more shoplights to double my growing space. Weekend project!
Kenton

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Your welcome Kenton and you can have any other plants I have ! I grew several Slap Happy from the two leaves, And inly one plant has the deep rose in the foliage. So pretty :))
My Baby Moonbeam did not bloom true either but I don't mind. It's so happy in the Prettiest Pot you sent me new flowers open each day ! So tiny looks like a silk.plant Lot's of deep rose in the foliage accent together each other the deep vivid blue/purple blossoms !

Denver, CO

Perhaps propagating them so mercilessly by leaf promotes the tendency to sport? It is a lot of genes getting re-hashed every time. But, who could complain if such delicate things are not rock-stable?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Yes I can't complain. Lot's of times the Sports are neat, exciting even more facintating ! Fantasy blossoms are never stable.
And a lot of them Sprot to Chimeras !

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I can't get over the size of Silver Wings!!! I love the slight pink hue of the petals too! If you have, I would love a leaf of her!

Sure Anita will send you a leaf. Sh's just growing them back I gave so many aways. She has the double bloomes ten petals ! I can't believe how large the flowers are. Like some big Daisy. So striking ! When you enter the room she stands out. " Silver Wings" :))

(Zone 7b)

Allison, your photos of "Silver Wings" are amazing - the sprinkling of diamond dusting - I just love it when I see a new post from you with lots of pictures - more to gasp and drool over!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Here first bloom ! Then when Laurie came many blooms were open. I know it's supose to be fantasy but I still like it with the pretty edge !

(Zone 7b)

Will it be spring soon? Do you promise?:))

I'm kind of wondering myself, it is just monsooning down again today - my back yard is a lake - too much rain for the clay soil to absorb so quickly - my crocuses are swimming!

But, my streps are getting buds - whooeee! And my double mauve AV noid has buds, so life ain't all rain, it just seems like it.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

I am jealous! What beautiful plants! And wow i love the pots!!!!! What talent Kenton has!

Kelly

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh 2Z it's Spring almost I promise ! Well this morning it was 48 degrees here this morning and 80 degrees now. WOW silly weather. You'll be hot soon too ! I'm happy your Streps are blooming. Streps are so great can be blooming away all year long .

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thank you Jan your so sweet. Guess there is no sense in posting them if people don't enjoy looking at them . Right ?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Allison,

Just as a matter of perspective, what size is the pot that Kenton painted? I'm trying to figure out what size pots I need and I like the one that he painted. Great job Kenton. And I have to have Rob's Slap Happy. That is the coolest one I've ever seen.

JesseK

(Zone 7b)

I laughed today - my friend next door had snow in her yard, just a bit, mind you, and I had none in mine...

Denver, CO

May I suggest treating your terra cotta pots with something that soaks in well, Jesse, as I swear that mineral deposits are showing up behind the sealed clear polyurethane in one I have...
Kenton

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the advice Kenton. I have a few ideas that I'm working on for the pots and I'll let you guys know how it turns out. BTW, do you know what size pot that is, the one that you painted here for Allison?

JesseK

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Jesse I think the pot is about one inch ! Maybe little larger . More for tiny minis, or micro's. Though you can plant any tiny miniature African violet plant in a one inch pot if you like. I do it all the time ! Their so cute in bloom , looks like a silke plant.
2Z that's too funny ~

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

wow - this thread got busy! I would love a leaf Allison..thanks. Well pretty soon, it will be warm enough for me to do trading - yeah! Kenton - you inspired me to paint a few pots. When I get a chance, I'll post a pic.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Anita I owe you some Special leaves and plants for my great cards !! :))
Which leaf did you want ?

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Definitely Silver Wings! I'm drooling over it. I've made it my wallpaper on my computer!
