Does any one know this shrub? Someone posted it on Hydrangeas forum..it is apparently a Hydrangea relative but has bright blue berries after it flowers. I am wondering if hardy in Baltimore.....
Dichroa febrifuga
I have one and I'm pretty happy with it. The flowers aren't nearly as spectacular as Hydrangeas and mine hasn't done much in the way of making berries yet, but it is evergreen so it's more interesting in winter than hydrangeas. I think it's only hardy to zone 8 so it may not make it for you, but if you have a sheltered place close to the house it may do OK.
Not even in a mild winter here...but thanks anyway.
