Our Teddy's in the hospital!

His kidney is failing and was going to shut down.. Please praying for Teddy to get better and we don't want to lose him.

Okay, last thrus. He was doing fine. He saw a sick possum that walked in circle for long time. He went and bit the possum then he decided drop possum soon as he grabbed it. The possum played "dead". Possum was at across the street on people's property. There was no bit from possum. Teddy came back home and acted fine. Yesterday early am Teddy started looked so sick, lots of drooling from mouth. He was very weak and hardly to move as fast as he used. Our homeless Rusty stayed with us and he was fine and running around like normal. Teddy doesn't. He walked very slowly. It was unlike Teddy. So Yesterday night, My DD called for him. He moved so slowly. We had to let him come thru the house to the garage. His body looked swollen and painful. We was trying to figured what wrong with him. He had lots of drooling water.

This morning, he looked worse... I talked to DH and told him that I wanted to take him to the vet but we couldn't have enough $ until pay day. He said he have enough so he said take him to the vet. So I called and they said bring him now. My DD and I have hard time to put Teddy in back of truck bed. He's heavy and he couldnt jump like he used to. He tried so hard. We had to use towels to pick him and put back of truck. We went to vet. Dr saw Teddy and couldn't find antying wrong with him.. decided to do the blood work, urine sample.... from the blood test result and it showed his kidney is started to failing.... to shut down. He was 103 lbs in Dec when he had seen by Dr . Now he weighed 96 lbs. He have lost some pounds. He had high fever at 105. He's 4 years old. Run some test and said he had called started with Ly.... long name. I couldnt spelling. They said they have to keep him over night ( weekend) to put him on IV fluid and some medicines. Dr said it was not from sick possum since he had no punch or wound from it. He checked mouth everything.. Dr called DH and explain to him and said let them keep Teddy for the weekend.. We know our cost on Teddy will be some hundred but we don't want to lose him. He's very loveable, smart, protection dog. If I didn't bring him right away. He would have died maybe tomorrow or next day or in few days. We brought him in right time so they can save him. I am so sad and worrying about our Teddy. I know you all have heard and read story about him. Now Rusty is looking for Teddy. He's in garage being alone without Teddy his bestfriend for a while. We will see Teddy tomorrow at noon to see how he doing also they will call us on Monday to let us know how he is doing and hope he still alive by then.
