Sprouting time

Since this is my first season at starting seeds indoors, I'm not sure if this is unusual, but...
I started seeds on Saturday and Sunday.
Mimulus x hybridus aka monkey flower
Gazania regens 'Dynastar Cranberry Sorbet'
Hypoestes 'Splash Select White'
Yesterday I decided to tune my stereo to classical music and allow it to play while I was ast work.
This morning I discovered they had sprouted...in 3 to 4 days. This evening, after another of Bach et.al, the gazania was an ich high.
Is this normal sprouting time? I was amazed.

Also - can anyone help me with information on rooting gel hormones? Sounds like the gel would cling better to the cuttings. What brands have you found to work best.

I don't know about the times for those plants as I have not grown those. But the hormones I have used, both gel and powder, and I have found the powder to work better much to my surprise. I thought the gel would be great but it had mixed results for me anyway, where the powder has worked well. I did learn not to put so much on and just dip it in on the stem as opposed to my initial idea of covering the whole stem that was to be buried.
