Grevillea robusta Help

Beautiful, BC(Zone 8b)

I didn't know where to post this so I thought Californians would have the experience. There's a Grevillea robusta growing here in a city planting that, to my surprise, breezes through winter with minimal damage in Z8b, Canada. I'm just wondering if any of you have experience growing it in it's coldest limits and any growing tips. I want to grow a batch but wondered if any of you know of cultivars or sub-species that might be hardier. I remember something of a variety from Adelaide that has 1' flowers and I think Adelaide is a bit colder. Thanks!

Mesilla Park, NM

We have several in Moreno Valley, and One in my backyard. It is evergreen here and it has gotten in the teens here, not too often, but we do get that low, mostly in the 20's and low 30's. So far, it has done alright for the last five years. It blooms these yellow flowers.

I don't know if I helped at all, but that is all I know about this tree.

Goodluck.

Thanks Gourd,

I'll look up where you are on the map and compare climates. I'm learning a little more about this tree, loose/dry soil and sun. I'm gonna try and upload a pic if this works.
