For a winter flowering shrub this one is hard to beat - the scent is fantastic!

Great pictures. I love daphnes, and so far, despite their reputation, knock on wood and all that, they've generally done well for me. That one must have some D. odora in it to be blooming so early. Unfortunately, that species isn't hardy here.
Scott
That's a beauty...too bad it's only hardy to zone 8.
Nice one! - whereabouts is it?
Resin
Thanks. It's in a south facing border so it gets a fair bit of sun but it has been affected by frost too but just bounces right back. I have lots of other daphnes but for the quality and quantity of flowers this one is the best.
Galanthophile, I think you joined fairly recently -- welcome! You wouldn't happen to be the reincarnation of "Shrubs&Bulbs" from the old GW forums, would you?
Guy S.
It's in a south facing border
I meant where in NE England! ;-)
Darn specificity! Darn generality!
Next someone will be asking after Carmen Sandiego...
LOL! I'm near Newcastle. And no I've been a member here for about a year but was never in GW.
Me too - just next to Jesmond Dene
Well would you believe it!
U too then?
Resin - I live in Wallsend. I have a fairly small garden but I try to have something in bloom every day of the year.
Uh-oh, we're all in trouble now. Super-Resin has found a potential ally in his never-ending war against Dollars, Fahrenheit, and The American Way! Battle stations everyone! Red alert!
Guy S.
One if by land, two if by sea.
Nothing against dollars, don't get enough of them, you can send me all you like! ;-)
Okay, everybody, send him dollars! And keep your head down.
Scott
Here's my $0.02 (£0.0114).
Happy to be called an ally but I am an international citizen too (this is called trying to keep everyone happy!)
