Hello,
I just got some seeds that require semi-cold treatment germination.
What exactly is this method? I have never heard of it before
Thanks for any help,
Dawna
semi-cold treatment??
What is the seed?
Tropaeolum Brachyceras and Tropaeolum tricolorum.
I checked various websites and found out that both of these germinate best in early spring in a cool greenhouse that is frostfree. The best temperatures for germination probably 55 F degrees . They also need sandy peaty medium to grow in. My Thompson & Morgon Seed Phamplet says that nasturiums need darkness to germinate. You may want to cover them with foil till they germinate.
Thank you for your help. I search and couldn't find anything.
Thanks again
