Blizzard '06 pictures: A slide show

Metuchen, NJ

The first three trees are, in order of appearance:
Purple European Beech
Zelkova
Pear (on Main Street)
The last one is my dogwood. (Last two pictures.)

You might have to wait a while for the movie to download. (Like go do the laundry or something.) Have fun!

What a winter wonderland, Joulz! I heard Central Park in NYC received nearly 27 inches of snow--the wet, heavy stuff.

If the movie isn't working on your computer (I've gotten some messages that it doesn't on some), here's a link to the pictures without the slide show. We got about 20 inches here, a record snowfall for a single day.

Joultz, much better "message" that what we received from the "talking heads". Thanks for sharing. Ken

I love the photos of the limbs with mounds of snow on them.

Bloomingdale, NY(Zone 4a)

Nice presentation, Joulz. Wish we had some of it up here in the Mountains.

The music sounds a lot like Aaron Copeland?

Thanks, everybody. Actually, Aaron Copeland is a good guess, but no, it's Thomas Newman.

I like the last picture the best, the dogwood bud. Ahh, I can see spring in that bud.

Denver, CO

Good eyes.

Wow! That was really cool. The town reminds me alot of my town! Was the picture of the tall evergreen in front of school? If it is, it looks like the HS here! They're calling for 1-3 inches of freezing rain tonight and tomorrow...I'd much rather have all the snow!

Metuchen, NJ

Yeah, Terry, that's St. Francis Catholic School (pre-K to 8th grade, I think) two blocks from my house. Wish I knew what kind of evergreen that is. I'll have to get a picture of it sans snow... someday.

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

I'd love to link to your page, to advertise my snow-shoveling service (wink wink).

Kinda slow here these days, around 60ºF (15.5ºC) again. Hope you got to enjoy your snow for a little while, sans damage to life/property.

Very funny, Viburnum! ; )
