Cryptostegia, how long to ripen?

Cryptostegia grandiflora, India Rubber Vine-The pods have been on the vine forever. I want to prune it, but I want the seedpods. Does anyone have any idea how long they take to ripen? Since it is in the milkweed family, I don't think the seeds will be good if I pick them too soon.

MaVie, they may develop in June, but they are not ripe yet! These things take forever.

Suzy... if u scroll down to the hyperlink, it says there .....

"Propagation Methods: From semi-hardwood cuttings

Seed Collecting: Collect seedhead/pod when flowers fade; allow to dry Allow pods to dry on plant; break open to collect seeds"

ur seed pods may have develop in June, don't forget, it got into Fall and Winter and these two seasons are the hardest to dry anything. good luck.

Winter is the normal time for them to have pods. I was just wondering how many months they normally take to develop. I'll just watch and see.
