I have a similar oncidium that finished blooming a couple of months ago......*LOVE* the fragrance.....too bad we can't capture *that* in a photo!

Nan, yes Iwangaara is an orchid. It's a mini-cattleya(I believe!).

How long from seed sowing to blooming?

hmmm I think it was back in mid February, actually. I really had no idea what it would look like. I was kinda thinking, is this it?? But it's much prettier today.

Does anyone know if these set seeds without help or if I've gotta use a cotton swab?

Also, hubby got me a tropical hibiscus for my birthday!!

Yeah! It's really awesome! The bulb took FOREVER to do anything, but once it got started, it grew pretty fast.
