More Morning Glories - Should I Grow These?

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I have seeds for the following morning glories:

Andersonii
Misty
Hirsuta - Mini Sky Blue
Pes Caprae - Beach MG

I'd appreciate any info or advice on whether or not to grow these.

Mini sky blue looks a lot like Hederacea. Is there a big difference. I have hederacea and it is just too small to suit me.

Would Misty be invasive here in zone 7a?

Would Pes Caprae be invasive here?

I don't have room to grow all the varieties I have, so I'm trying to pick out the best ones. Any information on these as to flower size and impressiveness or invasiveness would be much appreciated.

Thanks, guys!

Helo,
The 'Andersonii' seems to do the best in warm moist climates or in a greenhouse and can be a very finicky and inconsistent plant...

Mini Sky Blue is Ipomoea hederacea and it seems that you have already answered your own question on that one...

The Ipomoea pes-caprae roots will not tolerate freezing,so if the roots freeze, the plant will not survive...

Misty is a relatively recent e-bay name for Calystegia sepium which is Large Bindweed and this plant is usually very invasive in all but the very coldest climate zones...I would dis-recommend growing this plant due to the very high potential to become a permanent and unwelcome resident...

There are some Calystegia species native to California that have roots that grow slowly or do not spread very much, but I have not seen any of these species available for gardening cultivation...so not all Calystegia species are invasive, but most are and it is generally best to exercise extreme caution with plants in this genus...

Hope that helps...

Hi Ron, thank you for the input. I definitely do not want more bindweed. This place was invaded with it when I began gardening and I've almost gotten it all cleared out...almost. I certainly don't wanna introduce anything more.

So I will all but the Beach Morning glory to my trade list. Thank you for helping me make the decision.
