The soon-to-be-ours Meezer kitty!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Ever since we had to put Elliott to sleep last fall, we've had siamese-shaped holes in our hearts. Now that Howie's feeling better after his surgery, I started looking at Petfinders and seeing what cats were available. We wanted to find a young female, one that our established kitty Hattie would be more likely to accept.

Someone from a local rescue e-mailed me and said to check with the shelter in Zanesville since she'd seen a couple of meezers there. I contacted them and this afternoon someone e-mailed me about an 8-month-old female she thought would be a good fit for us; she's petite and very loving. Her hair's a little long for a Siamese, but she sure has the face we love. :)

We've not named her yet (she needs to tell us her name, you know). She'll be spayed at the shelter Monday morning and we can pick her up any time after 4:00pm. She's up to date on all her shots and tested negative for FIV and leukemia. The $50 adoption fee covers all the tests, her shots and her spay - very reasonable.

We can't wait to get her! :D These are pictures Jen e-mailed me from the shelter today.
