Rooting Question

Dutton, AL(Zone 7a)

Would anyone mind giving me instructions or a link on how to root plants? I have an abundance of them and I'm wanting to make up some boxes to send to people who lost their plants last year. I've got one of those big patio greenhouses with the plastic zip cover, would it be as simple as taking cuttings, potting them up and putting them in there to grow? I'd like to try buddleia, crepe myrtle, gardenia, wisteria, roses, rose of sharon, forsythia, acuba, camelia, dogwood, and other odds and ends. I can always just send them cuttings, but I'd be happier if I could give them some rooted plants too. I've had good success rooting a few roses, trailing cattails, and houseplants in water glasses on the windowsill, but I don't know how well they will transplant being grown in water so long. Thanks for any help.

I threw together some links on a page: http://members.shaw.ca/magnolia/links/propagation.htm
If you have a chance to pick up some #1 rooting hormone in powder or gel would give you more success. Some of the links have easy-to-follow images on how best to do it and how to trim back the cuttings before sticking. When you get to one you're not sure on, post another question here.
