I have, I just divided three 'coral splendor' plantlets.

here's Chinook Wind. A freebie, that I've now fallen in love with the watermellon/salmon blooms. They are a knock out in person.

I have chinook also..I got it as a freebie from Bluebird nurseries :)
I agree with you..they are FABULOUS :)
I adore mine!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

How can you divided if you only have one crown ?
I tried taking a sucker off a special plant I sent you Lorry and I lost the sucker and leaf off your plant. I putthe leaf down. The plant was suck nice shape but it will grow back. Clue I know you don't have it and hard to find lol
Laurie I Love your chimera wannabe.. Please progated in by leaf and / sucker bloom stalk. Keep track journal. See what happens :))

Denver, CO

Hey Hey Hey!!!

Laurie, who is the white-striped leaf creature in the back under the Tiffany lamp? I must know. It get my heart skipping beats in a healthy way- I'll die happy.
Kenton

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Ali, there are actually two plants there. Looks like one, but I just need to separate them. They will be small once I do that, but ultimately I think that's what they need, right?

Kenton do you mean this on? If so, it's a Home Depot noid. leaf has four colors, sage, dark green lime green (where the petiole attaches to the leaf) and cream.

Oh no worries ALlison :) I have the woops type moments all the time ;) and I am sure it will grow back in no time :)
I still lose suckers now and again also..most take...some just don't despite my best efforts!
Clue? is that an AV?

Kenton ..you are too Cute! Looks like a heavily variegated AV to me :)
I havea couple that are like that one in foliage! Actually one of mine..one of the Rob's has all white leaves except for a coupld ot them...pretty amazing!

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Really NEAT variegation on that one Laurie!

Perhaps I am seperating mine too early! I usually pluck and seperate and little plantlets.

Denver, CO

Oh oh OH!
you are very quick, Begonia. Now I will never get homework done while I eat now...
What would I have to do for a leaf? I don't know how to Can-can dance, but I could learn.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Looks like Chimera foliage Laurie.

Lorry it's an African violet plant I know you don't have. :))

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Yo need to do the snoopy dance! no only kidding, I have leaves down. do you want to wait until they pup or do you want me to send some now. I also have about 8 rooted leaves of this similar one. Colors are cream, dark green, some copper, and sage. Red reverse, lilac-lavender double flower.
this one has more lime green than the other. all leaves are rooted. If you wanna wait to see what they will sprout like I can.

lemme know.

gotta run now gang, have a hot lunch date with a fabulously handsome man. (My DH of course! I'm treating him to lunch today, after I stop by the garden center - they get AV's delivered on Wednesdays!)

Ali, do you know where I can find more info on chimera foliage, that's what I thought and I posted it to AV Brats, but was told it was TL - which I DO NOT agree with. It's way too random. And TL isn't 4 colors that I could find.

I know Senks web site used to have images of chimera foliage, but his site was down last week.

really gotta go... I'm gonna be late for my date.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Have fun Laurie :)
and LOVING the cream variegation!
I dont' have any like that yet! (hint hint)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I have seen a couple plant with Chimera foliafe on Ebay. One might have had the name Stinker ? or I could be way off. Rob has some chimera foliage plants they don't progate by leaf just sucker or bloom stalk. And blooms are not chimera. I think he might have had stuff written about it. And it is not the same as TL. TL foliage can be progated by leaf

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Rob's plants
Rob's Lucky Charm. A must have for the serious collector. Bouquet of lots of deep orchid-mauve sdbl. pansies atop very rare, euonymous-like green and gold variegation impervious to heat or age. Miniature

Rob's Lucky Ducky. Gorgeous! Sdbl. deep rose-pink blooms over wonderful sea-foam green leaves thickly variegated in white and pink. A lovely plant in every way. Show-quality

Rob's Lucky Penny. Very rare, one-of-a-kind variegated foliage! Sdbl. white pansies with deep blue eye. Tiny, pointed foliage with very unusual variegation--like leaves of euonymus, with very broad, irregular, white margin, totally insensitive to heat or age!

They have Chimera foliage but not Chimera blossoms. The one I've seen on ebay is beautiful too I'd love to have it but it goes so high.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Rob answers a question about Chimera foliage :))

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

I think it's Harmony's Little Stinker. but that might be a begonia, Harmony hybridizes begonias too. My brain is not functioning at the moment so I can't remember.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Begonia, they're all beautiful!!! My favorites are Cavalier and thumbprint. Great Shots!!!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh no if this is the name Harmony's Little Stinker it's an African violet plant !!! With Chimera foliage no Chimera flowers :)) I'd love one. We could find one and share it :)) I have not seen it on Ebya latly most time it stars between $9.99 and 19.99 . But worth it. Rob's Chimera foliage plants are $20.00 .

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

will it propagate true via leaf then? I agree, let's find one and send it to you to make babies for everyone.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

I have lucky penny and IF I ever get bloom stalks or anything :) And I can propagate them :) I will be sharing it around ;)
That is a ways off those since mine is so tiny :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

No Laurie Foliage Chimera plants will not progate true with leaf. Only sucker or bloom stalk. that's why I say your plant that looks like Foliage Chimera to me I would progate a leaf and by sucker and see what happens. Also with you look like :)) Flowering Chimera
plant. Take a leaf off the crown and it will force it to sucker :)) I do it all the time and I do it to trailers to. An easy way without having to tear plants apart :))
