When To Start MG Seeds

Sour Lake, TX(Zone 9a)

I am about to show my ignorance at gardening. I have just recently purchased MG seeds and
not really sure when I should start planting them. Should I plant first inside in the little peat
green houses or sow directly outside. And if I sow directly outside when should I do that?
I live in Zone 9 in southeast Texas. Also do MG's like a lot of sun, some shade or what?

I would really appreciate any and all help on this one.

Angela, I am about 25 min from you..kinda north of me..I start mine in March in paper cups...inside my seed hothouse..which is outdoors..then plant them wherever ya want them. ya can plant the paper cups in the ground or in hanging baskets cuz the paper cups will compost ....Ya can plant them directly in the ground after the ground warms up..but I am doing a memory garden for my mom which she wanted me to hang a pot full of JMG's or MG's in each of my trees-nearly 50 of them which covers my 4 acre front and back yard I have and let the vines grow on the tree limbs cuz she did not like my evergreen trees that had no color on them except green...LOL..but she passed away last year April 2005 before we were able to do the project..
So now I am doing it this year..for her...

I've started some of the ones that take longer to mature, like the moonvine and other large seeded ones. If the weather stays warm, I'll probably start my others the week after next.

Hey Moodene!!
