I just helped deliver my first Brug Baby! BREECH

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow.. Check this out.. I just now performed "surgery" on a seedling that was growing upside down.. The leaves were stuck under the rooted part! I was so scared, but I got it out without breaking it.. only had to break a couple of roots off it's poor lil head. Look how long the poor thing was!

Oh my Gawsh.. Does that make me a Midwife?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

More than likely, they will NEVER ask for directions!

Before I enlarged it, thought it was a cemetary marker telling it to shape up..........or else.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Thank you for all the well wishes.. It wouldn't reach for the grow lights, but it sure liked the natural sunshine today! We are up, a little wobbly looking, but we are up.. I am so happy, I can't even stand myself today! I have a brug baby, I have a brug baby.. Oh happy day!

Yep, looks like it might make it!

Sunset Beach, NC(Zone 8a)

ZZ, I'm waiting for the official birth announcement to see the name and birth weight. Also, need to know the "gender" to know whether to send pink or blue. So-o-o healthy looking.......you must be a proud mama!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Baby is adorable! Such a chubbie leg too. LOL.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL
It's 1 1/2" from soil to where the leaves start.. and 1 1/2" "wingspan".. I don't know the birth weight... Just chubby. I've been calling it my BeeBee.. I Love it so much, I wanna squeeze it. It has to be a she, since it could follow directions. I prefer to Think Pink..

You are all just too cool.. This always makes me giggle.. Thank you!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. You are my type of gal, think pink!!!

And take it from me, do NOT squeeze her chubby cheeks. LOL

Corte Madera, CA

i looooove chubby babies. seedlings short and fat are way too cute. lol.

(btw, my sang seedlings are the red ones...at least i am hoping they are. hee-hee.)

Myrtle Beach, SC

WTG Joyce, she's a nice baby :)) It just has to be a girl just because SHE did read the directions. Prolly the only female I know that wants to have a "chubby" anything !! (hehehe)
I have not tried to grow a brug from seeds yet, but with all of your excitement I guess I will try now :)) Great job !! God bless all, Margo

Annapet, those sangs are getting a wonderful Mama!! Love ya, M

Corte Madera, CA

margo, when you start growing brug seeds, there's no turning back. it's still my fave, fave thing to do.

joyce, more deliveries soon? you just inspired me to start MORE SEEDS. i haven't done it in weeks. been busy with lilies =).

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Kell, that is too cute. It's so hard to leave them alone.

Oh Yes Margo, you just have to grow some.. it is the best feeling in the world when they pop out. I've always loved plants, but nothing compares to this.. other than my own kids that is.. You know that wonderful "best gift in the world" feeling? I still brush her against my cheek in the morning. LOL

Annapet, yes, I have a few others that are not all the way up yet, but they aren't as chubby as this one was. Only a few more are gonna come up. I'm having a problem with mold. The rockwool got all moldy..

I built the light rack and got a warming mat.. everything else comes up immediately, but the brugs got moldy. :( Your Sang babiez look great! Did you start them in rockwool?

Corte Madera, CA

Joyce, she's cute and chubby, but remember - - - she's POISON. LOL.

My brugs now are all rockwool babies. Hee-hee.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Yeah, I don't kiss her cause of that. But I probably would.

I put a few seeds in Rapid Rooter plugs, just to try them out.. Those are the ones that seem to be coming up fine..

Corte Madera, CA

i'm open to new things. would love to try that, too. my RW is almost gone, i think. or hiding.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

They are just as expensive.. $11.95 for a bag of 50.. at least that's what I paid. The guy at the hydroponics store said they'd pull the roots out of anything.. seed or cutting. So far, it's worked good.
I could get soooo carried away with seeds.. Nothing takes me away like seeing them stretch out and reach up as hard as they can! Cutest thing in the world to me.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh so sad Joyce. I wonder if it is the heat that did it, I have never used heat. I never have had mold in rockwool but do get it with the Rapid Rooters. LOL. Just goes to show no one way is the best way for everyone.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Kell.. No way! I just assumed..... LOL See what I get for assuming everyone used heat? Dang.. I hate it when that happens. Thank you for posting this Kell, I'll try again.. That RW is so dang expensive, I hate to waste anything!
