Good Morning All
Here's the new daily con't from
http://davesgarden.com/place/t/568862/#new

Have a Great Day All,
Kelly

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Good Morning- freezing rain arrived- several schools closed, but just as many have a 2 hr delay. I'll sit in my chair and watch it all unfolding on TV - safe place to be on icy days!

Nothing exciting planned for today - other than the huff/puff. Scalloped potatoes/ham for dinner -already thought about what I would make as I was awake in bed last night. Gonna try a new recipe for bran muffins too (need that roughage at our age!)

Woof - use the 2x4 on DH and the kids....hope they will be back in school today! We seem to always pay when tax time comes around - we don't do something right. DH could care less and I have to fret and worry about it. Did I tell ya that next time I visit this earth, I'm gonna be a man! LOL

oz - come back - give us some insight into the 'male' side of things!

orchid = now ginger preserve??? That's something I've never heard of... What's in it??

Molly - all work and no play.....(what's the rest of it??) do a little of both and you will be happy. Things sure look like they are moving ahead!! I drool at the meals you guys are having.

M5- sick kitty and sick computer - that is the major pits!! Hope both recover soon and the sun will shine on you! At least you can use DH computer - if mine takes a dump, I have to go to circuit city and buy another one. Speaking of which, has anyone gotten a refurb from Dell? I've heard you can really get some good deals.

Oh nuts, I forgot to take my allergy meds this morning - you have to take them one hour before you eat and I am starving, so I have to take care of that problem first!! Gotta go peek out the window and see how the ice is coming along..

cambridge md, MD(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone, yes ginger preserve ... it is made of fresh ginger that has been peeled cut in strips, run thru the food processor sugar water and sure gel, that's it. I made 12 jars 8oz each and I only have 8 left . As a rule for Christmas I give a basket to some of my friends with rose petal jelly, ginger preserve, orange marmelade, and black and red currant jelly.
When I got back from France I was still sick with complications from bronchitis that I contracted before I started my trip and turned into pneumonia while I was there. And I had to keep on going turring the country driving I had a friend of mine with me, I was the tour guide. I drove 2700 miles in two weeks .
This morning the weather cannot make up its mind, it is grey with a pink cast very strange . It is real cold 36 degrees.I wonder what is in store , I should have checked the weather on the paper. It does not really matter I am staying inside today I have work to do for the same client . One more chair to upholster then I am finished with him yeah......
Sorry about the cat and computer been out of sort at the same time, thats not a good thing. Talking about cat mine has to go to the vet for his yearly shots , that will be when I go to Cambridge. Since that is where my vet is. I could use the one down the street from me , I dont like the way they changed and try to pile on the expenses that are not necessary . Like trying to tell me that my cat was underweight , my cat always been a small cat , a 10 pounder since he has been an adult , he is going to be 4year 's old this year. his weight stays the same , he is a small kitty. Most of my other cats were 12 pounds except for one that was a nine pounder that lived 20 years , he was a small Maine coon cat
Now it is time for me to have some food , how about ginger preserve with homemade bread and jasmine tea yumm.

Good morning, every one,
DG has been very slow at imes the last few days gave up waiting for it but it seems to be much better now..
Defoe, sorry about your DH's back, I know it is a killer. hope he is feeling better by now.
Meezer, you do have problems with you kitty cats, so sorry It would bother me terribly if Samson was not well.

Molly, don't worry about your house too much, sometimes other things are much more important to get accomplished like having some fun, LOL

Orchid, I had pneumonia last fall, it took a long time to get it over with. missed the flue shot because of it so I hope I will escape any further illness

I love ginger preserves, I buy 'Chiver's" most every good market carries it, like it on toast, so I will have some of yours, Orchid. I also buy the crystalised ginger and eat it as is or add it to chocolate chip cookies, yum

Try to find 'Chivers' ,Sarv, you may like it!

Have checked Gardenwife's and Howies posts, it is wonderful what science and doctors can accomplish these days.

You all have a good and healthy day

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Well I just lost a whole long rambling post for some reason. Tried to preview it to see how much Sammi messed it up and lost it. Waiting to hear from the vet. DG has been goofy ever since the changeover.

Will try again later.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

right, meezer, it took forever to get my above post posted, nearly gave up again

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Good Morning All,

Well, we have a fresh blanket of snow,,,about 2". Looks so pretty,,,everything nice and white including the trees. Although my first customer called and cancelled. She has to walk to my house and with the snow and ice,,doesn't feel safe. I don't blame her, I don't want her to slip and fall. She was supposed to get a perm, so I now have a couple of hours free,,,,,,grrrrrr.

I think since things are so iffy, I'm not going to comment much,,,don't want it to go poof.

Well, I better get in the shower and get ready,,,may get lucky and get a call. If not, I guess I Should start bookwork,,,,yuk!

See you all later.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Hey Good morning!! It started raining during the night, and it continues. Have hard down pours, then drizzle, drizzle, drizzle. Have been up for ages, but busy getting things done. DH woke me at 5:30, had to go to the bathroom, and couldn't get out of bed by himself. So hauled him up and helped him get there. Since it was so hard for him to get up, he elected to head for the recliner, instead of going back to bed. He is sitting snoozing now. Fixed sausage and eggs for breakfast, then started a pot of vegetable soup for tomorrow. DS is coming down tonight, and we are going to start doing some cleaning for DM. Therefore, she will be here tonight, so have also cooked green beans, have potatoes ready to oven brown, steamed, buttered carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. There is a pork loin in the oven roasting. I called my chiropractor, and DH has an appointment for 2:15, so we will see if that helps.

Meezer, no word from the vet and a lost post already, ya think it's going to be one of them days.

Sarv, if you have freezing rain, please be careful when you go out. That is so dangerous.

Maria, glad to see you back again, worry about you when you are not here.

Orchid and Maria, I usually have one bout of bronchitis a winter. So far have not even had the sniffles. I started taking vitamin C, as so many claim that it helps, and so far, I'm not sick, so it may be working, or maybe I have not been out enough to be exposed to anything. But thanks okay, as I like it just fine, being healthy.

Well, I am going to go sit and read for awhile, as it may be my only oportunity to "veg" all day.

I will check back later.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Defoe, appriciate your thinking about me, but other then not liking this new way of so many threads having had to wait a long time to get on I am ok

GG, smart Lady, one never knows what can happen on a snowy or icy road. As far as taking care of bills, am of same opinion as you, 'YUK"

Sarv, I think we are going to get that icy rain you have tonight, but I will not go out keep safe in the house. Hope it will be all gone by tomorrow evening when DD and husband are coming for dinner. Think I will make just a simple meatloaf with scallopped potatoes, asperugus and stuffed mushrooms and a salad, apple pie for dessert

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

D-cat and others......Good AM.....

Just curious with you making your pork loin at this hour for supper. When it's done, what do you do with it then?

A little cloudy today but I can handle the 72*.... Still sitting here, playing. No ambition....Now who is it that has that 2 x 4? Give me a whack please......

I like the idea of making a list of things to do for the next day. I think that when I get up and look around, I get overwhelmed with what needs to be done. I am so compulsive that I think that it all has to be done today and therefore I get nothing done, just get depressed. With a list, I could feel productive and know when I'm done. Sounds like a game plan to me. I will try it tonight. Now I have to be careful as not to put 3 days work on tomorrows list. Then when I don't finish it, I get depressed again. UGH.

Also, both my boys have had back surgery; one had it 2 times. The second timed worked. The one that only had it once is still bothered but won't consider surgery again. At least until he can't stand the pain..... Do hope your DH won't need that.

I can't believe all the trouble everyone is having with DG. I'm just glad to know that it's not my ol' box dying a horrible death of a rag doll.....lol

I GOT to do something here.

Hap

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

What time is dinner, Maria???

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

The vet called and said Souky looks a little more alert this morning. Suggested I pick her up, and bring her home. She hasn't eaten there. I called her back and said I would prefer to try getting her to eat while she's there so if she upchucks it, she will still be where she can get treatment and hydration. I don't see any point in bringing her home and taking her back. So, I'm going to go there and bring her some of her own food, and see if she will eat. Then, if she keeps it down, I'll pick her up later today and bring her home. GG can I have the two hours and get a trim? Really, I need one badly.

So far this morning Sammi has walked onthe keyboard, pulled down the bedroom curtains, tipped over the laundry hamper, and is currently eying the chain for the ceiling fan in the bedroom, which I have patiently explained he can't possibly reach.

More later................

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Such an exciting life there, Meezer.....Are you REALLLLLy sure about that fan chain?

Hap

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

5:30 sharp, Hap,, your are welcome! But do yu really want to to leave your nice warm Temp for this cold one? I think not, lol

Meezer, your baby is having fun, to paraphrase it, when the cat is out...............kittiy will play.. Hope Souki is on the mend.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Yeh, Maria, you're off the hook.....

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Back from the huff/puff and then stopped for a visit with my pharmacist!! I am sick of this allergy business - went in and asked for her opinion (I think they sometimes know more than the docs!) She told me to try some allergy eye drops and claritin D. They have to keep it behind the counter because of the high incidence of meth labs in this area. Cost me an arm and a leg, but I'll try anything to get some relief!! I was on a 12 hr pill and the minute it wore off, I was miserable again. But the doc told me not to take a night dose as I wouldn't sleep. Well, I don't sleep much anyways, but couldn't imagine sleeping less!! New pill is a 24 hr dose, so I may be on this computer all night long!!

Yum Maria, I'll come for dinner too!! 5:30 you say? DG is really bumming me out too - can't get in- can't post. What's happening??? Must be all the new forums doing something crazy. Hope it gets straightened out soon.

defoe - still raining, but the freezing stuff is over and moving north. Roads were fine - just more of the gloomy stuff here. Good thing I have my grow lights to go stand and look at!! I'd go crazy.

I'm still waiting and waiting for my Parks seed catalog= I always get it soooo late...And this year I was going to order some seeds too.

M5- sounds like kitty is improving. Hope the food stays down... Do animals get the flu and colds?? Always wondered about that... My cat is out in the rain - gazing at the bird feeder - waiting for lunch to fly by - so stupid...

Hap - 72 is a wonderful sounding temp~~ I think I need to come for a visit...

Time for lunch!!

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning.

Maria, it's good to hear from you again. I think we have all had problems, and I sure hope Dave gets all the bugs out of the system soon. Growing pains I think. I'll have to look in on the Daves Garden forum again in a while. He might need another system upgrade with all the new stuff that has been added recently.

Meezer, I hope your Souky is better today after she eats. We just get too attatched to these animals and it is so hard to have them be sick. Sammi is keeping himself (and you) busy I see. Maybe you should have brought home two? They would entertain each other. I remember having 2 kittens at once, they did entertain each other a lot but also got into mischief together, twice the messes!

Defoe, I hope the chyropractor can fix him, crunch, just as quickly as he got the problem. Well, you did get an early start on your day..... but I emagine he will not drive himself there and back so it will all even out for time spent and things accomplished.

Hap, I do better with lists, but I think you need to make list 1for doing today and list 2 for doing another day, sort of like one of those desk calandars with the tear off pages. In fact, you could use one of those and write the list on the back. Make it realistic, and don't beat yourself up if you don't get it all done today, just transfer the undone things to the next day. There's always another day.

It's snowing again but the wind has quit. Earlier this morning the flakes were big and coming horizontally. Yesterday it got very cold and windy so I didn't get the walk with the dog, maybe today when I do my horse chores I will just take him for a short one. The snow isn't deep enough to make walking a lot of work yet. Without the JRT here it feels like a vacation. We take that one out on a retractable line about 5 times a day, can't turn him loose like I would love to do but he is fast as greased lightening, has no sense about horses or cars, and he is not our dog.

Yesterday I made cinnamon rolls but am disappointed with the results, they are tasty but kind of dry. Next time I'll use a different recipe. Anybody got a good one?

Our kitten acts like she might be coming into heat. I just wonder how old she really is since she was a rescue. She still weighs under 4 pounds. This morning she is making little high pitched chirping sounds and crouching with her tail in the air. I do plan to have her spayed but at this age? She has to go in for shots on Thursday so maybe the vet can tell me then.

My oatmeal is cooking on the wood stove, old fashioned oats cooked the old fashioned way. When I was younger I didn't like oatmeal but the only kind I had tried was the instant kind. In fact, the first time I remember seeing oatmeal I was just a small kid. We had been living in Alaska and were returning to Seattle on an old ship of the Alaska Steamship line (forerunner of the present Alaska State Ferry system) and we were in a storm in the Gulf of Alaska. I was already feeling queezy and the bowl of oatmeal was all it took to make me upchuck. No wonder I never liked it. My mother never tried to make me eat it.

Well, on that cheery note I will mentally prepare myself to eat my oatmeal. See you later.

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Hi Again All,

Well, finally ready for the day,,,whatever it may bring,,lol Still getting some flurries,,,I better get out there and get some salt on those stairs.

dcat,
Sure hope DH gets some relief for his back,,,how miserable! I have also been taking a vit. C tablet along with my daily multi-vit.,,,so far so good,,,Thank-You Lord! Everyone comes in the Salon sick,,,yuk!

Maria,
I'm glad she didn't chance it,,,I would feel terrible if she fell. Dinner sounds wonderful,,,but gosh I don't think I could get there by 5:30,,,aw,,shucks,,,,LOL,,, I hate paying bills,,,,,The bookwork I have to do is the year end stuff for the Salon,,,Every year I say I'm going to keep up on it, week by week and every year I'm sitting here trying to get the whole year done at once,,,I have come to the conclusion that I am a glutton for punishment! Maybe this year will be the year????

Hap,
Lists are good,,,that way we feel we really are accomplishing something by scratching an item off,,,makes us feel good. I use lists whenever I am feeling overwhelmed by what I Want to get done,,,helps a lot!

M5,
Glad to hear the vet called,,,good thinkin' on having him eat there. C'mon over,,,,I have the time,,,LOL,,,,Ah, Sammi,,,what a little terror,,,lol I wouldn't bet on that ceiling fan chain,,,before you know it,,,he'll be hanging on the chain and then he'll be up on the fan,,,roflol,,,turn it on low and see what he does,,,,LOL J/K

sarv,
Glad you got some stuff,,now, hopefully you will get some relief. As far as Park's goes, why not just get online and look that way?

As far as the problems on DG,,,Dave has a thread going here if anyone is interested. He explains some of the problem. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/568951/

well, off to get some bookwork done.

Kelly

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I am almost afraid to leave you guys, may not ever get on again before the day ends, this is so pokey '-(

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Back from the vet, she wouldn't eat for me their either, but I left her food as she was so happy to see me all she did was roll around and meep, Hopefully she will eat now that I'm not in her sight, but regardless I'll pick her up this afternoon and bring her home. I did tell her Sammi was still here in case she had her hopes up.

Dcat, I hope the chiro does the trick, and your DH can navigate to the bathroom by himself....my DH has back problems too but they seem to bother him most when I need something done.

Maria, we are all having problems with DG, and are hoping they get solved soon because it's putting a major crimp in our daily. Afraid to post too much or too long in case it flies off into cyberspace.

MaryE, could be your kitten is cycling young, some do. Sure sounds like it with the chirping and posturing. Your vet can tell for sure. Never could stomach oat meal, instant, quick, or long cooking, ugh. Love grits though, so go figure...

Sarv, cats and dogs can get URIs, just like people do but not usually catching it from their humans. Souky has always been a sneezer, from dust (or maybe cat hari? LOL) but they don't seem to get the flu. My sinuses are driving me nuts today, but I think it's because we set up a new humidifier, and my dried out noses is finally getting some moisture. Or not. Who knows. Maybe it's because we have another crummy gray day. I got edited in another forum/thread, because I used the h space e double toothpicks word LOL and I don't even remember which one it was in. At least this time it made sense....I guess it would be offensive to some. The good news is, some religious leaders have now decided that there is no limbo, and my question is, now where do all the souls go that were sent there? LOL Sorry, couldn't resist.

There's a pot of beef minestrone simmering on the stove, so anyone so inclined can grab a bowl from the cupboard and help themself, but it's a little spicy so be careful. It definitely looks like a soup day out there. 72* in FL, sigh, Hap, do you have enough room for all the Coffee and regulars to come visit? Too bad we got Sammi, I can't leave here until he gets settled down a little more. If curtains came down while I was gone, they would still be on the floor when I got back

No, GG, I'm not at all convinced that Sammi can't reach that pull chain, I am in awe at his skill in getting where he wants to go. Within this first week, he has gone from begging to be picked up onto the couch when we are sitting there, to jumping up in one grand leap from the floor, all by himself. And you can see how pleased he is with himself for doing it. His main problem now is that darn tail that keeps following him, he has to attack it regularly to keep it in line.

Got to stir the soup....there's crackers in the cupboard, and pumpernickel on the counter. TTYL

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

ROFLOL @ the visual of Sammi attacking his tail,,,,,sooner or later he'll realize that it's attached and doesn't go away,,,,LOL

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

I doubt it Kelly, lol, my Rosie still chases her tail all the time and she is over a year old now. Ever see a 85 lb Rottie mix chase her tail? Do you have any idea how much damage they can do when they "play"?

I'm scheduled for the Lithotripsy tomorrow afternoon. I had a check-in type appt with my regular Doc, and he is not liking the fact that I am still running a 103* temp. My white count is really high again too, and we had just about gotten it back down last month. I'm afraid there are going to be alot of needles in my future. Ewww Owwwww I'm such a big whiney baby.

I'm going back to the couch and my 3 layers of comforters, lol. Dh asked me if I wanted a sleeping bag too, and I told him that didn't sound half bad.

I'll check back in later,
mg

(Scarey note: When I ran spell check on this, it thought Lithotripsy was spelled wrong and it recommended *Deathtraps*!!!!!)

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Yikes!!! Good luck tomorrow, we'll be watching for an update. I suspect the tail chasing will go on for quite some time....he's gonna be a pistol!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

MG, hope you will get well pretty soon ((((((hugs)))))

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

mg,

Yep, lots of damage,,,lol,,,Mooshka is 11 and still chases hers once in awhile,,,I think it's prolly when it's itching though.

LOL @ the spelling,,,,Glad you felt up to posting today,,,hope all goes well tomorrow and they blast that thing in a million tiny pieces. My thoughts will be with you. Is this an outpatient proceedure?

Kelly

cambridge md, MD(Zone 7a)

Morning_gayles : I hope that you will feel better , the thought of needles makes my skin crawl backward . Needles are the only thing that I fear .... Your dog chase's his tail my 3and 1/2 year old cat just discoverd that he has one , this is his new toy beside the knitted mices.

Yesterday was so cold that I made a pot of beef stew , so tonight I am lucky I dont have to cook all I have to do is make a salad to go with the stew and warm up the bread that I made.

Now I have to go back to my work again , this was a nice break ......And good luck tomorow Morning_gayles

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Scalloped potatoes, ham in the crockpot. Gonna whip up a batch of bran muffins and have a cranberry/orange scone recipe that I might try. Day continues to be dark and drippy.

DH just came home complaining about his stupid brother again - I have never met such an ignoramous in my entire life. He (DH's brother) is such a pack rat - now he's buying a $6,000 machine because 'someone' might want it and he could resell it. Who?? I ask... If he needs one electric cord, he'll buy a dozen cause he can get them cheaper. He has a stock load of junk all over....I think he's sick. He looks and smells like a bum (cuts his own hair LOL) Totally socially backward....(can ya tell he drives me crazy....)

Well, off to the kitchen to do some baking....

M5- ya better watch those naughty words.....you're gonna get your arse kicked off here~~

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi There,

This is just a note to say that the concert went quite well. I've read all the posts above, but I don't have time to really respond now. Only about 20 minutes until the first of 4 consecutive students shows up.

I'll try to get more written later.

Ann

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Hi all! Havn't been on here since Sunday afternoon. Went out Sun.evening to have pizza with friends. Had a good time. Yesterday DH and I took his parents down to Atlantic City. They like to go, but don't get around too well so at Christmas we told them we would take them. None of us had a good day at gambling. MIL did show me the penny machines tho. I can play on those forever for $5. We only go about once a year and I limit myself to about $20.

MG - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope this brings you some releif.

Maria - that "simple" dinner sounds yummi! I should have left here at least 3 hours ago. I guess I won't make it there for dinner. LOL

M5 - I hope Souky is doing OK.

MaryE - Had to laugh at your comment the other day about NJ and Tractor Supply not going together. NJ does have some farmland left. It's not all pavement and shopping malls. LOL Actually we are on the NJ / PA border and the store we go to is about an hour away in PA.

Sorry can't comment on everything I would like to . Gotta get back to work before the boss comes in again. See ya later!

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Back again after a brief "rest". Probably has something to do with the 25 or so days of measurable rain and a lack of sun. Hard to say what's been going on , but the kids were OK as far as the worming went, but have a problem with coccidiae or something like that.(an internal parasite). Medicine was only $65 and no charge for the lab test (at least not yet) so we're off to another two weeks of oral meds. Got into the Ceramics class at the Community College as an auditing student. The fees were triple what it was last time. The repairman was here to fix the new gas heater but couldn't. Now he has to wait for parts from the factory and should be back within a week or two. Telephone man just left and said he fixed the static problem. The Lemon Pepper biscotti is great, All the background is routed out of the portal carving so I can continue with the carving. Although I blew myself off with the air hose and used the bench brush for the stuck pieces I still left a trail of sawdust and bitty wood pieces through the house. Have to get the vacuum out and clean up. I see a piece of blue sky so will have to leave now and see if it is real or imaginary.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Will make it some other time, Suzy, peerhaps when ther is better weather, so just come along.

I don't think I would like all that rain, Robert, how depressing!!

Had two try several times to get in here, sheesh, every so often it tells me 'canceled'

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Well, we got back from the chiropractor, and DH says he is feeling better. Has another appointment tomorrow and one on Friday. Several years ago he had a broken vertebrae, and that is the one that is giving him trouble. It has slipped sideways, and apparently pressing on a nerve.

My Sister arrived about the time we got home. Had supper almost ready. Hap you asked about cooking the loin that early. I use the cooking bags, and just leave it in there, then put it back in the oven to just warm. Those bags keep everything so moist that it is very good. Best turkey I have every cooked was in one, just salt, pepper, and a stick of butter in the cavity, and it would melt in your mouth.

Can't comment to everyone, as I would be a rude host. Just know that I have read it all, and chuckled at the appropriate moments. Meezer, hope Souky gets better. And please try to determine, if I am not really good in this life where I will be going, do you think maybe it could be the Bahamas!! Gee, if that is the case, what other vices can it start on?

Well off to watch UK get their buns stomped tonight.
I will try to check in before bedtime.

Hello to all I did not mention by name, and MG good luck with the blasting tomorrow.

Evening everyone. Been a busy day for me, and sounds busy for most of you, too!

Jeremy and I got all the purlins (for the metal roofing) on half the roof, some of the Low-E radiant barrier up, and two of the roof panels. We were fighting strong winds with 40+ mph gusts so it wqas not a good day for roofing but tomorrow is forecast to be the same.

Hi All,
Tomorrows daily is up in the Parking Lot.
Here's the link if anyone needs it.

Nity Nite,
Kelly

Hi everyone
Today has been a rainy and windy day for us here. The wind has been absolutely horrible and there's more coming tomorrow. I had to get a new computer keyboard today, so please forgive any mistakes I don't catch. LOL It takes a bit of getting use to to make the switch. My keys were sticking, and it was causing me to make more errors than a new one.

M5, how is Souky doing now that she's at home? I saw where you were going to pick her up, so I'm assuming you did. Sure hope she's doing better now and you got some good news.

Defoe, was glad to hear your DH got some relief for his back today. It's always hard to watch them hurt.

Darius, sure sounds like you, Molly and Jeremy are keeping busy. I've been watching your other thread. don't know how y'all have managed to do all that building along with the gardening. :)

Suzie, sure sounds like y'all had a good time. I've never done that before, but have been told it's exciting.

Maria, your meal made me drool. Bet that's what happened to my keyboard! LOL LOL

Sarv, you are just tooo funny. Oh, and yes ... I sort of got the idea that he *did* drive you crazy. :)

Mary, I like old fashioned oats cooked the old fashioned way, also. In fact, I don't care for the instant, either. The DH keeps it at work so he can eat it for a mid morning snack ... but I don't especially like it.

MG, I am saying special prayers for you and hoping your surgery goes well tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be feeling lots better when it's all over with. Just know we're all thinking about you and post when you can.

I know I'm forgetting a lot, but it's hard to catch up, so please forgive me for my short comings. Hope everyone has a good and restful night.
Hugs all way round.
... Elaine
