GREAT pictures, Matt....!!

Great pictures Matt.
I am like you I go for the interesting leaves since the blooms are few and far between.

If I may impose on you thread to show you my fav Hoya leaf. It is similar in looks to your Hoya vitellinoides, Matt, only a darker green. This is H. deykei:

Not as showy as the above leaves, but ds-70 is one of my favorites. The leaves are so delicate and perfectly shaped. Nice soft fuzz too, like velvet.

This is H. latifolia (formerly IML-88). So round and perfect...

I have a H. ds-70 too, markroy68, and I agree with you, lovely shaped fine leaves. But...so slow growing. Mine hasn't changed much since I got it this past summer. I guess I have to learn to be patient...sigh

Prescott, AZ

Nice DS-70 Mark, your leaves are so nice and healthy looking, mine are much lighter than yours. What light do you keep yours in? Your leaves even look plumper than mine do.

Don nice H. deykei, has it flowered for you?

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

No Tami. It's just a baby. The flowers are supposedly small in a hemispherical umbrel and they are noted to have a "sweet" scent. But I must admit, I don't even know what color they will be.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Gotta put up one of my faves...H. elliptica...with the wonderful "turtleback" pattern.

Oh wow everybody! Great pictures. I have leaf envy now.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I've sure enjoyed looking (and drooling) over these. :)

Prescott, AZ

Yep H. elliptica looks like my tortoises shell. But he's alot more colorfull, must be the sunshine!!!

Don I think your H. deykei is an offwhite or cream color flower. What other hoya's do you have? Welcome to the forum.

San Francisco, CA

Tami, my ds-70 is near a south facing window, but high up. Strong indirect with an hour or two of sun.

Thought I would post a picture of my handsome son.
Now thats a tortoise back pattern. Sorry to still the post.

Tami....I see you in the eyes...but the forehead and chin????????

London, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Here's one from my family album! This is a picture of 'my youngest' who couldn't bear me paying more attention to the Hoyas than to him. Here he is taking no prisoners in an all-out charm offensive!!

I guess he has my fur and claws. Grrrrr!

Matt, I think he just wants hes tummy rubbed..

Ah yes Carol, he does have my eyes doesn't he. My disposition too!! And dry skin.

Don sounds like a great collection, keep hanging out here and you will have 50 befor long. I keep collecting and really just don't have the room. Just gotta have a fix though.
How long have you been collecting? Has your H.multiflora bloomed for you, if so isn't it awesome? Wow your up in cold country too. Don't worry spring is comming....LOL

Hurry Spring
Tami

LOL

No my H. Multiflora hasn't blossomed yet, but I'm hopeful. It's a nice healthy looking plant.

Your're right, I am definitely North of you and I envy you your temps this time of year, but maybe not so much in a few more months. Actually we have had a fairly mild winter thus far. Lots of precipitation though. Everything is nice and green. But another few weeks before our Spring flowers burst forth.

Cute Kitty....Russian Blue?

OH Matt, you SUCH a terror!

:>)

San Francisco, CA

Matt, looks like you have a ham too, maybe it is part of cat's genetic makeup. Very cute!

London, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Carol, he's a British Blue Shorthair. They have orange eyes and short muzzles that looks like they've collided with something hard at very high speed LOL!!. I think the Russians' eyes are green.

Yes, a complete ham Mark!! He's probably going to be unbearable now that his fame has attained 'International Status'!!
