Putting face to the names
wonderful pictures!!! Thanks for sharing!!
I know Janis I could not figure who the Mom was and thought at first you just posted pictures of the children. You are so young beautiful and a nice smile !
You too Jacki :))
Janis, Your kids all have your eyes, don't they? Looks like they keep you busy!!
Oh I love those pictures! Agree with you Allison, I couldn't figure out who was the mom in the picture, they all look so young!
I love that red Planti- I used to use red but I just don't have the skin tones to carry it off well! It looks great on you.
Geez guys! I'm blushing here! Thanks so much for all the compliments! Yes, all my kids have my eyes, especially the shape. The girls and little Jeff the most, and DeWaynes are hazel, where all ours are brown. I have pics of the kids recent ones, if anyone wants to see them.
I was young when I had DeWayne, I had just turned 18, I'll be 34 this July. I'm the youngest mom in his school LOL Makes him crazy, cause he has a couple friends that say "your mom is hot" which just totally grosses him out!
Planti, they do keep me busy!! The 15 yr old is a typical teen, and was just diagnosed ADD, my 9 yr old is MRDD, my 7 year old is ADHD (very hyperactive) and the 4 yr old.... well... anyone else remember the terrible 4's? LOL I love them all to death, even though they make me nuts! I'd lopve another one, but DH would end up in a rubber room wearing a jacket that ties in the back LOLOL
Hugs to all
Janis
Beautiful Children Janis ! Your a SuperMom :))
I love seeinf their pictures :))
Here is Sarah last month
Handsome Jeff nice picture and look at his smile :))
Sarah is a pretty girl ! Where is her smile :))
Her adult front teeth are coming in, and they are spaced far apart and crooked, and she is embarrassed by it. I told her they will get closer and straighten as her other teeth come in, but she is already worried about her looks :((
Little Jeff is such a ham!!
Janis
AWW Tori and DeWayne nice pictures too !
Your have beautiful Children Janis :))
AAWW you let her know she is beautiful and to smile away :))
Thanks Allison! I certainly can't deny that they are mine! Especially DeWayne. His dad used to say that even though we were divorced he still had to look at me over the breakfast table every morning (cause DeWayne looked so much like me LOL) I told him he deserved it :)
Janis
I tried, she is gonna be my little beauty queen I think. Worries about her looks and hair, and glasses and braces.... she is a drama queen too. She is certainly gonna be a handful in a couple years... Daddy is already worried about boys coming around!!

Your girls are so pretty, and yopur men are handsome :)
A child with ADHD is like having a house full anyway isn't it? I tell people if Sarah had been my first, she would have been an only child :)
Janis

Cute picture Jill !
Janis, we were very busy that weekend! My brother's family was in the midst of moving. We celebrated my niece's 2nd birthday at the new house, then spent a day helping to pack & paint & clean (and, most importantly, to divide daylilies!) at the old house.... I didn't even manage to see Suzi (BriarRose), and she was only minutes away!
Here's a picture of our smiling birthday girl! She got a blooming AV ('Rebel's Rosebud', as her middle name is Rose) in a matching pink dandy pot from me, and she thought it was very bea-u-tiful and special! Of course, she also really liked this red balloon that Uncle Jim blew up for her....
Awww Jill she so cute !
Wow! Let me know next time, if you aren't so busy!!
She is beautiful
Janis
What a cutie pie, Jill!!
nice picture of you jill and she is a doll!!!!!!! so very cute!!!!! i just love kids :)
kelly :)
Jill nice picture of you and cute, cute kid! She is adorable.
Yeah... we gotta get us one of those, LOL!
Since we don't have any of our own (yet -- as some of you know, we are trying very hard), I'm just going to post another birthday girl photo. Last weekend, we celebrated another niece's 4th birthday!
We worked together on a Happy Birthday banner for our Flamingo Princess. Last year's birthday theme was flamingos, this year she was torn because she also wanted a princess theme... and the title of Flamingo Princess was created by the Royal Party Planner (,my SIL, aka "Mommy").
... which her mom & I stayed up past midnight decorating after she went to bed, so you can imagine her look of amazement when she saw her cake the next morning! What fun!
For anyone with Princesses of their own, it's a 2 layer round cake on top of a 2 layer sqare cake (2 boxes of mix), with towers made of cupcakes and ice cream cones.
Wow that is a cute kid and an amazing cake! I really love it. My grandson will be 4 this year and perhaps we can modify that - somehow I think his dad wouldn't be so excited about a pink cake- into a castle or a Bat Man house or something. That is soooo cute. I am very impressed!
If you try it, you'll probably need to cut a little slice off one side of each cupcake so it fits up against the round part. I did stick a skewer through each cupcake to hold it, but if I'd been thinking I would've also done this: before frosting, cut/break off the tip of each ice cream cone to make a small hole (if you want flags), then use a long skewer to go down through cone, cupcake, and cake layers beneath, leaving enough skewer to serve as a flagpole. We had a little last-minute issue with the flamingo flags!
I love the idea of doing it as a Batman / Gotham city cake! You could probably bake some cake cylinders in soup cans &/or little tomato paste cans to use for towers also.... I'd make an extra cake's worth of pieces like that before starting on the main cake, so you know what works (cake freezes just fine).
Sorry for going O/T about the cake! If you have questions etc, Dmail me, and we'll start a thread over in the recipe forum, LOL.
As long as I'm O/T already.... Woofens, it would be great to meet up sometime! There's a plant swap that BriarRose was telling me about; I think it's the first Saturday in June... I may try to make that, and maybe I could finally get you some Torenia seedlings!
Jil she is adorable ! The cake is amazing :)) Great job !
Thanks for the tips Jill!
