My Hens & Chicks is only up about 8” so far, just wondering if anyone has any blooms yet, be sure to post photos when they do, I can’t use my camera once again or I would post a picture of the plant, it has 2 buds starting. I only got one from sowing in the house so I sowed more outside, they’re not up yet but did manage one so far :)

My blanket flowers were doing this also this year. I even had a twin headed one with two fullsized flower heads sort of like siamese twins connected at the back. I should save seeds from these and see what sorts of mutations happen next season. These were on two different plants that grew from saved seeds.

Maybe in a few years these will be perfected by some grower and for sale. I wonder if this is not due to a hormone spurt or some other growth regulator.
The flower head is past its prime now, but it was a normal looking "hen" except for the chicks coming from the back part.

Wow, that's pretty cool, it would be interesting to see if you get any like that next year. Thanks for sharing :) I planted some blanket flowers this year, they're only up about 4".
