Question about Ipomoea sinuata

Arendal, Norway

Hello

I recently purchased some seeds from eBay called Alamo Vine ( Ipomoea sinuata )

So, to my question: Is this plant the same as Alamo Vine ( Merremia dissecta )

And, do you have some info. about the breeding of this Ipomoea?

I hope to breed this Vine in my indoor-garden.

Greetings to all of you from Norway

Ipomoea sinuata is an old name for Merremia dissecta that is no longer used. This vine likes hot, humid weather, and grows an underground tuber. Here it will freeze to the ground at first frost, but will return in the spring. I believe it is hardy to zone 8, but will sustain damage if exposed to anything colder. It also has a tendency to become invasive if left to grow on it's own.

I hope this helps you!

Thank you, Stacey

Great info, and the seed are now sprouting in my indoor garden.
