Does Kartuz ship in the winter?
I broke down and ordered from Rob
They ship to warm climates...At least that is what he told me :)
Allison...I didn't get my order from Kartuz yet....My order from Rob's came in today but I was not here to get it *oh My* So I am going to have to pick it up tomorrow after work.
I will take pictures then of the Rob order.
Once I get the one from Kartuz..I will post those also...
Lorry, my order from Rob's stayed in the post office two nights. I did not know I was supposed to be home to sign for it, then the next day the post office dude couldn't find it. duh..........anyway, the plants were still in perfect shape. Have fun tomorrow. : )

So hopefully they will leave it since I signed the slip.

Very small but very healthy pretty well describes my Rob's order last spring, too. Those plants look just fabulous! Is that the eagerly-anticipated 'Rob's Lucky Penny' in the 2nd pic, center back? What a perfectly lovely little plant! The two in the front of the first photo look sooo soft, I just want to reach out and stroke a leaf....

I had bought an Alps and couple other Chimeras from Rob's a couple years ago but they did come blooming , Alps was so pretty could kick myself for be heading it :((

aw c'mon April, give it up! Look who you 'hang' out with each day. A bunch of plant-a-holics! A month ago I didn't know a chirita from a cheeto, and now I have 9 of them! Same with episcia, some of them got wind of my addiction and hopped in a box and came on over! I'm quite sure they told two friends and so on and so on so my bedroom is quickly filling up.

You know I'll be after a plantlet of 'Wondrous Girl' on down the line.... but take one leaf off now for "insurance" and then let her grow & bloom for you! The mosaic variegation on 'Genetic Blush' is just outstanding! And I think we found another member of the "Buckeye Club" with that large, gorgeously variegated 'Country Cider'!

I have a leave of cajun popcorn. It has been down since September. Just started leafing on Tuesday. Took a long time. Hope I get a couple of plant from the ears.

They are all gorgeous! I want all of them. I feel like a kid in a candy store, every one is more beautiful than the next and I can't make up my mind. I had told myself that I'd be happy w/ a few- half dozen or so- well chosen AVs, but apparently that's not working for me.
I'll be putting down more leaves now that I can see how popular Country Cider is, I didn't even order it, it was a 'gift' - FREE!!!

I think the postman opened the boxes and is now putting down his own leaves!
I just got an order from Rob and every plant had at least one broken leaf. I put them down but the breakage left the plants very small. Actually, they were small to begin with. I received Happy Harold, Ohio Beautiful, Sunny Salmon, and Berry Splash. Even with a mild weather week and insolation the plants felt cold. I don't think I will order in the winter again. I will just have to be patient until the spring.
Sunny Salmon and Berry Splash are gorgeous. Will have to look up the rest.
In MD I imagine it is cold- not so here, I was out in the yard thinking it was too warm and humid for January.
That's what I was thinking!!! Grrrr.
It's unseasonably warm here as well, but very humid. When I got the plants, night temperature was in the 30s. Today is supposed to be 60 here in MD. Crazy
WoW, someone paid $20.49 for a Cajun Popcorn on eBay, why not just order it from Bluebirds? They're like $4.50?

I know I can't beleivewhat people pay. And many times you see Vendprs write Rare and it's not. I also see a lot Rare only sold o Ebay.well why do i hav a whole bunch on my stands and I bought it fro luebirds. Goodthin o check out hatfriends andvedors have before spending $20/00 on a plant easy to get. :) Just my 2 pennies/

Thanks. I just had a repairman in the house to fix our heat pump. Boy, did he. It is hot in here now. Anyway, as I was writing the check at the kitchen table, he looked over at my violets and said, "Oh, those are real. I thought they were artificial." I took it as a compliment. : )
