I vowed to eradicate all morning glories from my yard. To rampant, always covered in spidemites...but Noooooooooo....I had to come in here this am and now all I wanna know is:
Where can I buy seeds for some of the MG's I see in here? Japanese, yellows, corals, striped, etc.?
Peggy
Oh,Good Grief!
bigred, how's life on the shores of Millwood ? Sounds like it's a fertile ground for MG's. Lots of sources for JMG's, including several gardeners right here on this forum. Send me a D-mail and I will share some of my sources and experiences in finding seeds this year. Good luck in your hunt!

bigred, I tried just the purpurea this year, and did think they were amazing, but was intent on leaving it at that. i started to look at the Chiltern seeds new seeds list (some not in the catalogue) yesterday, and did a search on google for a new one mentioned, which I could only find a link for them! Did a search for another, ended up on ebay (US), and found someone selling some amazing ones which i could NOT let anyone else have. I was emailing them to a friend I knew would be interested, but when I got to the GOOD ones, I had to buy them and he didn't get a look in! Got 4 from them, then found someone else selling some really good ones, quite cheap too, and bought another 5!
Beware of the addiction, now I have to think about how I am going to fit them all on my pergola along with the clematis, and then how I am going to collect all the different seed, keeping them separate!
Hey Peggy,
Didn't know you were on this side of the world too.
I'll D-Mail you.
Emma
Janet,
That's easy too....lol
MG's look fantastic growing with clematis.
D-Mail me and I can give you some great tips on how to keep up with the seeds too.
Emma
Twillie,
dry and windy w/ no predictions for any significant chance of rain until March.I'll dmail you soon. Had to finish staging and dressing a "Get Well" basket then run it to patient in hospital in next town over. Of course I had to do a little shopping while I was in the big city of Texarkana....LOL.Promised myself I'd only be on-line until 7am so I can get a workout in and house straightened up.
wallaby,
well that's awfully stingy of you to snatch up all those seeds....LOL Good on ya! I stay off ebay. I have enough of an on-line shopping addiction w/amazon.com w/o adding ebay to the list*G*
Emma,
I was member of DG a while back and decided to re-up when the "other" garden website changed hands and the ads got thicker than thieves(sp?)
P.
bigred I looked last night, they have listed more of the same, and Emma has the list, dare you ask?
Well, stingy or not, I challenge any hotheaded plant hunter to admit they wouldn't do the same!
I have been through my addictive stage with ebay, to my huge cost, and had decided to stay away, but i have a friend who is still only getting to grips with the lies one tells oneself in order to justify the spending, and do occasionally creep back to have a look, but only very tentatively, then I'm a goner!
janet
janet,
yes, there should be a 12 step program for the seed addicted..*S*
P
I check just about every day to see if there's something I don't have and *need* to add to my collection. ;-)
QB,
I "Need" anything but I "Want" everything...LOL
P
QB,
I don't "Need" anything but I "Want" everything...LOL
P
Oh well, I think they go hand in hand!
A "Want" becomes a "Need", that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Peggy, when did you start stuttering? LOL
wallaby,
You stick to that story and I'll back you up..LOL
QB,
when I was a little kid...guess it's come back to haunt me in my old age..*BSG* I left out the "don't(need) in the first post. Thought I had stopped the "send" to fix it.... but guess not, huh?
