Anyone have a life preserver or row boat?

Here's one that is a member of the rhodedendron family, but the name flew out of my head and for the life of me I can't remember. It's pretty common.

last one, I promise. I know it's painful to be here in the mainland, drooling on photos of tropicals! I'd give anything for a tropical breeze right now!
Cant remember the name either, medinil? no idea.

Yes--wax lips and coke bottles! I used to love them, but tried one not too long ago and YUCK!!!! I used to chew on that wax for a long time. That flower is just absolutely beautiful. I didn't realize ginger flowers were so pretty. A lot of greenhouses have them around here, but I've been afraid to try one since they're pretty pricey (although they are less expensive than the orchids I buy so I guess my hesitation is misplaced).

I don't mind looking at your pics. They're great. The staghorn fern is amazing. I've tried growing several, but lost them all. I think that I just can't keep it misted enough. I only know the black one as "the bat flower." LOL I have a medillina that I grow year round--in the house during winter, outside during the summer. Their flowers are beautiful.

1.4M for a house, ohana AND business??? That sounds like a deal to me!

Glad to hear your weather's improving. Today's not too bad for us--60 and sunny.

thanks, i had my cutie pie son take the photos, i wanted to make a propagation tutorial for our sticky. So since I was doing it, I though I had better strike a pose - don't have that many leaves to practice with. anyway, I'm probably not going to get to it for a while since In order to do step two, I need plantlets. BUT keep your fingers crossed that I get babies to photograph for the second part!

Oh you'll have them in no time ! And cutting the way you have you can get 20-60 plantlets a piece of leaf :)
