Coffee and... For Friday, Dec. 30, 2005
Up early - can't sleep. I think a bug is trying to live in my body. Head pounding, shoulder throbbing and sinus draining. Happy New Year!! Just took an aleve, so maybe the aches and pains will subside in a bit.
Glad to hear that Molly/Darius are back with us - go get um girls!! I felt better just seeing your sun. We haven't had a peek of it in weeks. Even the weatherman is getting grumpy about the lack of sun. Four inches of the white stuff coming tonight.
defo - my DH controls the remote too. When I ask to watch a certain program he gets all huffy and put out. For Pete sakes, he is snoozing most of the time anyhow!! Too much work to train a new one or I'd trade him in! Be sure and let us know about the MIL. And how many people are going to be in the waiting room??? Good grief!! When I had surgery a year ago, I told my DH not to bother coming down - just be there when it was over. The nurses kept asking me 'where is your DH?" - guess they thought it was strange~
I have plans for today: Clean, organize (somewhat) the garage) and perhaps take down the tree!!
I was looking at a pot of wave petunias that I brought inside- they were all weird color - then I noticed a zillion bugs on them!! Drat, need to deal with the aphids today before they take over the plant stand. I did plant 12 red and 6 yellow lily bulb-like things. Some had mold on them, so I washed it off and plunked them in the dirt. If they grow, fine, if not, that's ok too.
I went to my neighbors and browsed thru her seed catalogs. I don't know why she gets them and I don't....however I never order from them and she does- thats probably the reason.
Well, the heating pad is blasting into my shoulder and now I am dripping wet- need to go get something to cool me down.
Good morning every body.
up about the same time as you, Sarv, but slept for 6 hours straight through now I am yawning feel loke going back yo bed lol, bit instead I will have a cup of coffee. Sorry you feel rotten, Sarv!
Samson was running in the yard like a maniac, so happy, while I walked on the porch. It is a long one 50 feet back and forth, ten times making it 500 it is good for my back,. temp is 42' this is quite warm for here but very misty, not at all nice.
Good morning,
Still feel like a cold is trying to get me down, but only just. Mostly just some fullness in my ears. Nothing like Sarv describes. Hope you feel better soon.
Nice to hear from Darius yesterday and Casey, so happy about your (finally) good news.
I'll make this short. FC is open this morning and I need to get going soon. Also want to hit a grocery store this afternoon so that I'm not stuck in the Saturday mobs.
This weekend I'll get going for real on preps for our large Epiphany party. Today the auxillary freezer (aka the screened porch) kicked in but it will return to a refrigerator on Monday. Just for a week, I'd like it to be a freezer.
Have a good day everyone.
Ann
Good morning. Made my "to do" list for today. Now I just have to put a limit on my time here and get my hiney in the shower and get moving.
DH's controls the remote in our house too. He always falls asleep and sometimes I can get it from him. I don't watch alot of TV though. I would rather read or be here on DG.
Maria - This warm weather is weird isn't it? Yesterday was gray and dismal. At least today the sun will be out some.
Sarv and Ann - hope you shake whatever bugs you have.
See ya later!
Good Morning, Everyone! The sun is shining and the whole weekend looks like good weather, warming tomorrow to 75º! I have a busy day planned, just waiting for Molly to get rolling. She was up before me (I smelled the coffee!) and I'm sure she has been catching up on DG and email now that we have DSL.
Hopefully we can get the framing for the pump house (and storage area) done over the weekend and get siding started Monday before the rain. We'll have to put a tarp over the top of the rafters once they are up because the metal roofing has to be ordered and has a 7-10 day delivery.
To accomplish all that, we need to get about 40 concrete blocks today, plus all the studs and more concrete mix. Also need to drop by Habitat for Humanity and see if we can get a used door and a couple of windows. Looks like several trips to town, 20 miles away.
Molly bought a nice unfinished wood futon for my room so I'm no longer sleeping on the sofa. I got some sheets at JC Penneys but they need laundering first to get out the fabric sizing which irritates my skin. I'm using my old bedding right now but they are queen size and the futon is a full size.
Have a great day, everyone! : )
Good Morning!!!!
Sorry to hear the flu bug is trying to catch some of you. Winter is bad enough to endure without getting sick.
Temps here are down to the mid 30's, but we can't be held back. Need to get some more poles set for that pump house. Seems like we spend a lot of time doing supply runs and it takes half a day for that. And still there are more things on the list for each day.
It's supposed to get down in the low, low 30's tonight. Happy to have a warm house now. Lot's of things to do today so can't spend much time here. Checking to see if Darius is ready to hit the road.
Be back later for more coffee and......
Molly
:^)))
Ah, and she was here all the time. LOL. I forgot, need to get the laundry going in the morning time since my dryer is broken. We have to have the day for clothes to dry on the line outside.
Okay, I really am gone now.
Molly
:^)))
Back up from a 2 hr snooze and feel much better other than the arm which is acting up more than usual. Must be it wants some sun too!!
Gosh 75 deg!! Oh that sounds like heaven!!
Since my hair is sticking up at all angles, I need to give it a good washing.
The molasses cookies have been calling my name today- I've already had three of them. They're hitting the trash on Monday if there's any left.
Vi - good luck with your party!! I'm partied out!! Even staying home on NYeve!!
Hi Everyone.....anyone miss me?
I'm at my son's in Rochester, NY..
Went to see my 98 year old dad on Weds. It was a terrible shock, but I should have expected it. He did not know me, he did not seem to realize Anyone was in the room, he played with his tray and mumbled a few words. When I saw him last, in August, he was completely with it. He knew all the news, sport scores etc. Then to come in and see him a total basket case was very hard to say the least. My sons and grandkids are going there with me again today and I truly hope to find him a little better, but I doubt it. I guess I just thought he was going to be OK forever.
Sorry I haven't been here, but sorta in the dark hole right now. If any of you have any extra prayers, sure could use them about now.
I will be going home tomorrow and I'm sure once I get in my own surroundings I will feel a little better. I know I can't do anything, but I feel like I should be able to.
Thanks for the prayers in advance.
Hap
Hap--I'm so sorry you are having to go through this with your dad. My parents both died suddenly and I thought that was the hardest thing, but now I know that watching the slow downward spiral is a lot harder. I will be praying for you.
I have caught a cold, ya'll and I feel like crud so you probably won't see me back today. I have to stay isolated from the whole rest of the family in my downstairs in-law suite because my granddaughter's preemie baby is living upstairs. Oh, well....................
Just in case I miss you, I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year's weekend.
Hi all and prayers for all those still sick and getting sick! Sorry to hear the your father is doing so poorly Hap. I have not dealt with that type of suffering, but can imagine how hurtful it is to have to witness.
So many colds going around...you are not sneezing on your ocmputer screens are you?? and washing your hands before returning to the keyboards??LOL
sarv~ i've been dealing with the gloom and rain by snoozing too. Done partying for this year too.
Molly and Darius~ dreaming of 75 degree weather and being able to get things done outside! It is fun to follow the adventure. I'd appreciate pics of the construction job if it's not too much to ask...I will learn lots.
I have a truckload of debris from the farm to dispose of (darius check out my project in farm life if you have any down time!) and a sick baby horse to take to the vet if I can get an appointment. We'll see how well trailer loading goes for baby Tully. She has a persistent cough that didn't respond fully to the antibiotic. It's still drizzling on icy packed snow here, not fun to try to get around all.
Darius and Molly, you both deserve the warm weather today. I hope you get everything done that you have planned for the day.
Happy, seeing your dad sick is very hard I know. I am sure he would rather you remember him as he was back in August also. Try and remember that the person he is now is the one that doesn't remember you, but the person he was your whole life knows you and loves you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Okay all of you that are coming down with a bug, to the vitamin store for some pep pills. Winter time is the worse to be sick for me, I am already down because of the weather and season. Healthy wishes for you all.
Well I better get something done here if I want to say I was productive today. I am thinking of leaving early so I need to have some proof I was here.
Morning everyone
Well, I've found if I don't get something accomplished before I check on at DG … I'll be sitting here all morning. Hope your day is going good.
Sarv, am sorry to hear you woke up feeling lousy this morning but maybe that little nap will keep you going the rest of the day.
Ann, sorry you aren't feeling your best either. Hope you don't succumb to this nasty bug going around. Can't get sick before that party. LOL
Hi Darius, Isn't this weather something! I'd get started with my plants but know we'll have more cold to come. It's no wonder we stay sick in the south.
Hi to you, also Molly. Glad things are beginning to take shape for you now.
Hap, am so sorry to hear about your Dad. That is very sad and know it must be hard to have to leave. I'll be saying prayers for you and your family.
Hi 1GG, gosh you're sick too? here's a box of tissues. Wish I was close enough to fix you a pot of soup or something. Take care of yourself. We'll be here when you're feeling better. Hugs to you.
Hi to DMC, Julie, Maria, Suzie, Kelly, and those who haven't checked in yet. Oh before I forget … Defoe, am thinking about you and your MIL today.
Y'all have a good day … Elaine
edited cause I can't spell! LOL

Good morning. Winter has returned. We woke up to several inches of new snow which came down sideways and is plastered to the fence posts, buildings and covered the porch on one end of the house. The porch has a shed type roof that extends 10 feet out from the house, and even the windows looking out onto it from the dining room have snow on them. I'll sweep the snow off the satelite dish when I go out to feed the horses, the snow is wet sticky stuff. This storm is supposed to be with us for a couple more days. Hubby said we had a power brown-out this morning before I got up but they came back on. I wouldn't be surprised if we loose power from the heavy snow on the power lines, or somebody sliding off the road into a pole. We don't have much problem with tree limbs since we don't have many trees right around here. Mostly the trees are right around the old homesteads and houses.
Sarv, Ann, 1gg and anyone else with post-Christmas bugs, hang in there and don't do anything you don't have to do for a couple of days. I know, easier said than done. Holidays seem to be a prime time for bugs.
Hap, so sad about your father, you'll be in my prayers. I'm sure it is harder for you than it is for him if that is any comfort. Did anyone warn you that his condition had deterioriated so much? or did you just walk into it without a clue?
Dmc, I'll hope for the best on the trailer loading. Has she been in a trailer before? oh, she must have been to get from wherever she was to wherever home is now. Let us know how it goes.
Darius and Molly, it's so nice to see you back online!
My cat and kitten have established the pecking order and that is a relief. They had one more minor episode without contact last night when the kitten approached the cat who had made herself comfortable in the sheepskin chair and didn't want any company. Well, ok, that just took a second and the kitten had the message. I still make it a point not to hold the kitten when the other cat is looking since I don't want any jealousy to develop.
My oatmeal is cooking on the woodstove, time for me to get dressed, feed myself and then put on the boots and all the rest of the storm clothes and go out to feed the horses. See you later.
Well, just now signing on today. Haven't read any posts, but just wanted to let everyone know that DMIL is still in surgery. DH called just awhile ago. The nurses are giving them updates about every 30-45 minutes. Of course the surgery didn't start at the scheduled time, and they estimate that it will be 1:30-2:00. She is tolerating the surgery well, and so far everything is going as expected. They have also emphasized that there could be complications, but for now everything is going well. I will post again when it's all over and make other comments then.
Hope you all are having a good day.
Bonnie
Hap, sorry about your Dad , it is very sad to suddenly see a parent like that, you are very fortunate to have him for so many years, some times they will have days where they remember every thing, hope today will be one of them.
Molly and Darius, the very best to both of you, how lucky can you ger to have such nice warm weather???
Those with a bug being pestered by, drink lots of fluid and rest and do not forget your vitamins.
Hope you will not lose your power, Mary, do you have a generator? Mine is still not connected, trying to contact the electrician but can't he is suppose to come next week with the gas people to adjust it.
I am beginning to wonder if I live that long before they finish this project that started in October, lol
Good Morning All,
Just a quick hello while I'm waiting for a LATE customer,,,GGGRRRRR
Sorry to hear of all the colds going around,,,,do all those good things to take care of yourselves.
Hope MIL surgery keeps going well,
sorry to hear about Dad
Hope the snow isn't too hard to get off the dish and the roof.
To all else, Hello and sorry don't have time to comment right now,,,,didn't even put names in to those I did,,,you know who you are,,,LOL
Well, check in later,,,did get some phone calls so has turned out to be a busy day,,,Thank God,
See Ya Later,
Kelly
Hap - sorry to hear about your dad.
Molly & Darius -good to hear from you, glad the weather is cooperating. Send pics if you can.
MaryE - I would actually like some snow. 48' doesn't feel like winter. I could be comfortable sitting outside in the sun it feels so warm (with jacket of course).
Got some laundry done. just took a cheesecake out ot the oven to take for desert tonight. Going to DM's for dinner with them and other friends of ours.
See ya in a bit.
Well, still no customer,,,,this is odd, something must have happened,,,she is a regular Friday 11:00 and is Always late,,,but never completely forgets,,,hmmmm, now I'm getting worried. May have to dig out her phone number.
I did get the kitchen cleaned up though. Well, on to the next project.
Kelly
Well it is still morning technically as I type this so...
Good Morning Gobs and 'Ettes!
The kids are both in their rooms not cleaning them, and Nathan goes to Respite in about an hour, then Jenna and I go to the Aquarium. I can't wait. Nathan doesn't think it is fair, but I really don't care. His behavior does not warrant a reward of any kind.
The weather here is frightful, lol. It is spitting sleet and a bit of snow flurries. The roads should be fun. And it is still so darn foggy. I think at this point, even cloudy would be a welcome sight. Grey, grey and more grey. YUK!
Here is the website of the National River Museum and Aquarium here in Dubuque that we will be going to. When we went the first time I compared the cost of one visit for all 4 of us versis the cost of a family season pass, and the pass was equal to 1 and 1/2 visits, so I bought the family pass. We have gone 4 times so far this year to the Aquarium as the exhibits change every few months or so, and the pass is also good for admission to all of the Dubuque County Historical events and exhibits. So far it has been used 8 times this year, and our membership is good untill April 30th. I will buy another pass next year!

Have a great day everyone!
mg
M-G, I went to the site, very cool. My daughter would love to see Kermit. He has always been a big favorite of hers since she was little.
Have a great time, I hope you both enjoy yourself and hopefully your son will realize that his behavior is the cause of his misfortune this time. Hard lesson for a child with no disability to learn, even harder for one with but not impossible. Good for you mom.
Just stopping in for a minute. We are posting pictures over on the 3rd Changes thread which is over here. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/563894/
Dog is howling to come in and need to get back to work. See ya after while.
Molly
:^)))
Hap, watching the downward spiral is indeed difficult. My mother was in the Wesley-on-East nursing home in Rochester for nearly 5 years and the last couple of years, she was mostly staring into space with absolutely no meaningful communication. It was awful. Hopefully it won't be too drawn out for your dad. Is there any hope of improvement?
One thing that I did after my mother passed which I found very therapeutic, was to put together a collage of pictures from happier times. It might even be therapeutic for you at this time to go back and look at those pictures after you have visited.
Still have fullness in my ears, but no other real cold symptoms. I figure if I keep moving fast enough the cold won't catch up to me.
Kelly, I hope your regular customer is OK. I bet she might have gotten mixed up on what day it is with all the holidays.
suzieq - what kind of cheesecake have you made? I LOVE cheesecake!
defoecat - more prayers for your DMIL are coming from this direction. Maybe by now the surgery is successfully over.
Must go. Have to get grocery shopping.
Ann
Ann,
Just heard from her husband,,,,she's in the hospital. It's something with her heart,,,she has a pacemaker and has had a lot of heart problems over the years. I didn't really get the whole story from Phil,,,he kinda talks in circles, so I still don't know how serious it is. If it's the heart, it's serious to start with,,,just don't know exactly what yet. I sure will be praying for her though. Kinda had a *feeling* that she was in the hosp.,,,,either her or her husband.
Kelly
Hap, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. It has been 16 years since I lost both my Mother and Dad. So hard to believe it has been that long. My Dad would have been 99 this year (06) if he had lived. It is hard to watch them go downhill. (((hugs)))
Defoe, thanks for the update. Still saying a prayer for her.
Elaine, you are always so energetic. Makes me feel good to read your posts.
Kelly, I hope the lady is OK. Seems like things always around this time of year.
Well, I am going to try to actually accomplish something today. I got my plants watered and took a few pictures of Asia Anne on my plant stand, my new Christmas present from DH, a picture of my Christmas cactus and a picture of *me* in the other kind of cactus.
I *guess* I will post THAT one, if you insist. LOL
Susan
=^..^=
Hi y'all,
Just thought I'd check in to see if there was any word from Defoe yet, but see she still hasn't given an update.
Hap, I'm fortunate to have both of my parents in good health. They are both in their early 70's and relatively healthy except for the usual aches and pains of those that age. My Dad has recently been going through tests trying to rule out the possibility of cancer as his white blood count continues to be low and they can't seem to determine the problem. I know it has to be hard, though, seeing your Father like that. My Grandma is 96 and has Alzheimer's. It's very sad.
Susan, I haven't managed to teach the dog to do it, so someone's got to do the housework. LOL
Got all my Christmas linens washed and packed away for one more year. Still haven't come up with anything for supper, though. Better hurry up and do it as everything is in the freezer. I am cooking a chicken for my brunswick stew for the week-end. the DH is going to smoke a pork butt to go in it.
Kelly, sorry to hear about your client. Sure hope she's okay and it's not too serious.
Okay, let me get up from here and take a look in the freezer. Let me know if y'all have any brain storms. :)
... Elaine
Hello again. Well I just learned the hard way that I can't refresh the page and keep my partly typed post. Darn. So, to make it short, the power has been off twice briefly, power co trucks went past a while ago, I'm cooking chicken and rice soup on the woodstove, storm is still with us but not as much as before, and I'm gonna post this before something else happens to the power supply. See you later.
Well, good news to report. DH just came from the hospital. DM came through the surgery real well. They repaired one valve, replaced another valve, and cleared blockage from 1 artery. She is in intensive care, and will be heavily sedated for a couple of days. Doctor was real pleased with the outcome.
I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers for DMIL, and for me, and the whole family. You all are really special to me, and I appreciate your concerns.
I haven't read anything since last I posted. I will catch up later, after we have something to eat.
Viola - I made an orange cheesecake. I think I made this recipe before, but not sure. I'll let you know later tonight how it turned out.
Kelly - So sorry to hear about your customer. I'll add her to my prayers.
Defoe - Great news!
Nice to hear some good news about your MIL Dcat, she's been in our thoughts today. If she handled surgery that well it speaks to good results for the recuperation. To those who are dealing with colds and ominous signs of illness, wrap up well, have some chicken soup, pamper yourself and take care. We've been well so far this winter and with luck will continue to do so.
DD showed up early this morning and we went to see the new kitten, who is due for his shots this week. We'll probably pick him up on Sunday, not this coming one but the one after. I'd like him to be eight weeks, so he's fully weaned and to stay with his furmom after his shot, in case he's not feeling chipper. DD has swollen tonsils which she told me on the way back after being in the car with me. I said, you mean I've been breathing your germy air???
It's very hard to see your parents failing, Hap, once they reach the stage where they aren't aware of their surroundings or recognize family, it's harder on the family than the parent. I hope your good memories will sustain you. Been down that road, and it's a long lonely walk. We're here for you. I tell my kids and DH I hope I just keel over and check out.
Oh, and not to ignore all the rest of you, I'm just kinda buzzed after seeing the kitten this morning......I'm getting real antsy!! Oh, what's that you say, you want to see him? (DD, in spite of 20 years in vet. medicine says she's 90% sure he's a boy...sigh.) OK here he is looking perky and sassy. My girls are in for a rude awakening. LOL
Defoe, so glad to hear the good news about your DMIL. Will continue to hold her up in prayer.
Meezers, oh my ... a little boy! Yep, those little girls will certainly have a shock now, won't they? ;) So glad you got to see him. Better start gargling and pop a few extra vitamin C's so you don't catch that nasty bug. Don't you just hate it when you find out you've been hanging around a sick person. LOL
Suzie, that cheese cake sounds great. I sent mine to work with the DH as I couldn't resist it. Hmmm, mine tasted *just* like a Cheese Cake Factory cheese cake. hehehe ;)
Oh, before I forget ... I just put on a fresh pot of coffee if anyone wants a cup. Got to go cut up that chicken. Will check later.
Just a quick checking in before the old coot gets home,,,LOL
Thanks for all the thoughts of my customer. I haven't heard anymore but don't really expect to until she comes home (hopefully that will be the case).
Susan,
That face in your plant is kinda spooky,,,,LOL
dcat,
glad to hear MIL is doing so well,,,what a relief for all of you. That's great.
M5,
What a handsome little boy?,,,,LOL Yep, the girls are in for a Big surprise,,,LOL
Elaine,
Frozen Pizza,,,that's my brainstorm and also what we are having for dinner tonight,,,LOL
Hi to everyone else,,,don't mean to slight, but he'll be home real quick like. And I did promise not to spend so much time on puter.
Well, gonna get off now before the OC pulls in,,,gotta keep peace in the family,,,LOL
See ya when he goes to bed
Kelly
MaryE - sorry you lost your message, but you answered a question I had. I was afraid one would lose the partial message.
Kelly, hope your client will be OK.
Defoe, gald to hear the good news re DMIL and will keep her in my prayers, hoping she avoids any setbacks.
Ann
Hooray for Defoe and her MIL!! Glad she made it with flying colors thru the surgery - Prayers for continued recovery.
IO1- sorry to hear about your dad - watching those you love go down hill has to be the hardest thing to bear. I just called my 81 yr old mom/stepdad to wish them a happy anny - been together 12 yrs. My dad died of a horrible cancer - wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy. I just hope I go to bed and don't wake up (with clean hair and a picked up house tho!) My grandma was 82 when she died and had the dreaded alz. My mom went to see her every day and I went every weekend. Somedays she was a little more with it, but it broke my heart to leave her - her eyes had that 'please don't leave me here' look.
Is someone making orange cheesecake?? Is it on the counter???
M5- that kitty looks like "HE' is gonna be a stinker!! Full of mischief!!! They are so cute when they are little rascals. My old gal as asleep with her head on DH stinky feet (he is sleeping too!)
Mary that soup sounds good- My fuzz head disappeared, but I am clearing my throat over and over- not a good sign.... DH made a sweet potato dish with ham - I just can't get enough of sweet potatoes. It was delish and there isn't even a smidgeon left! We're gonna have a bowl of lemon/raspberry sherbert for dessert.
Just had a tv interruption - we're under a snow advisory = 5 in tonight.
A big HI to everyone one else....almost 2006~~
I could have sworn I posted earlier, guess not or its floating.
Defoe, I am so glad that MIL's surgery went well and I hope her recovery is quick.
Okay, what is up with the face in the cactus??? Did I miss something??
GG, hope you are enjoying time with the ol' coot. LOL
Meezer my DH says if I come home with a new kitty your in trouble. ROFL I told him its all your fault I am having kittenitis. I really am enjoying the blooming love affair with Huck and Souky. I laugh at letter.
Made taquito's and spanish rice for dinner but I am still a bit hungry so I think I am going to go get me some more rice. Was thinking of making cinnamon ice cream but forgot to get the salt at the store.
checking back in later
Yup, looked outside and what was rain this afternoon has turned to snow, those party people are going to be sliding all over the road tonight. We grabbed lunch at a little cafe near here, and I warmed up leftovers for dinner! El Chef-o quit-o for the day-o!
DH never complains about what I put on the table, likewise,he seldom compliments me either...so I cook for me. LOL His buddy is bringing over a ten lb. ham on Monday and they are going to watch football all day and I get to cook!
Still trying to figure out a name for the new kid. Maybe I'll go have lunch at the Singh Thai restaurant next week, and ask the cook for some Thai names. Siamese cats originated in Thailand, when it was called Siam. Maybe they can help me out!
Caught a 10 minute snoozer this afternoon catching up on Food network programs I dvr'd, right in the middle of Alton Brown making cookies. Think I'll be in bed early tonight! Have a good New Year's Eve, and if you don't happen to be awake at midnight, 2006 will arrive anyway. See y'all next year!
Hi everybody,
been out myself earlier today, birthday present to get, my 2 week shop to do, what a lousy wet cold day it has been, but started to warm a little later. Snow thawing but sat at freezing 0C, big lumps of wet melting snow coming down, and oh so icy. Went out with double legs on, got turfed out the supermarket, never told me they were closing an hour early today.
Mission succesful, did need to do more shop elsewhere, got visits to family over weekend, then I'm done for. Got some really great food though. A chestnut mushroom fresh soup with thyme and taragon, made by the Duchy of Cornwall, profits to the Princes Trust charity, so waived my dislike of the guy for today. Never tasted such a good soup, not pumped up with water and thickeners, could have been the best restaurant in town. Had a warmed ciabatta with it, sorry folks it's all gone. And, seeing as its nearly New Year, I treated us to a French style pastry creme tarte, perfect! best thing besides the soup I have ever eaten, couldn't fault it. All fresh mandarin, kiwi fruit, strawberries and grapes, with a glaze I think with a hint of lemon, fruit was all crisp and tasty, pastry crisp made with butter. And on top of that we had a little organic double cream I picked up cheap. Wish I could share it, still got some.
A lot of people having colds (me too, getting better), old age probs, sorry to hear of all these, life takes its toll most when you are least capable of coping with it.
Kelly I spend nearly all day on the computer, just can't get round to it all, whatever takes your fancy hey.
Meezers I'd say he is a boy with attitude, boy pussies are always more cuddly, big sops.
Gotta go, bed time late again,
Well, OC (I do mean that affectionately) went to bed,,,,so was just browsing around.
Ann,
Thanks, I sure do too,,,she's a very nice woman,,,drives me nuts being late all the time,,,but still very nice. I may call her husband over the weekend to see if I can get any Real info,,,,,I'll try,,,but he just talks in circles. When he called earlier,,,all he talked about is how the Dr.'s don't know what they're doing and nobody tells him anything. So, I'll see,,,,,
Casey,
LOL,,,I do enjoy watching a program or 2 and tonight was Ghost Whisperer,,,,he left it on under protest,,,LOL but at least he left it on.
wal,
