CLOSED: What is this fat boy?

He is fat from eating my Podranea vine. It's been chilly(in the low 50's-mid 40's at night) and he's been hanging in this same spot for two or three days(nibbling on leaves). Does anyone know which moth he will become?

Hmmm... well, nothing around here looks quite like that - but it's definitely one of the giant silk moths. It almost looks like a luna moth caterpillar but I have no idea if they'd eat podranea or not (around here their preferred food is sweetgums). If it were me, I'd definitely leave him alone and see what he turns out to be - I think all them are beautiful.

Donna, yes, that is him! He does turn into a beautiful moth doesn't he?
Tom, I the only caterpillars I kill are tent caterpillars, army worms and those nasty little green cats that eat my brugs.
Berrygirl, he may have been eating some other plant too, but there were several podranea stems that were bare! I'm just glad I didn't trim that plant when I was cleaning up the garden
