Zamia furfuracea (cardboard palm) seed germination?

Hi,
I just got some Zamia furfuracea seeds on ebay, and soaked them in water as directed by the seller. I noticed that about 90% of the seeds floated to the top. Is this any indicator of seed viability? Thanks,
