The water (tinted with food color) rises in the thin tube when a storm approaches. Cool.

That is a neat gift. I seem to remember some kind of storm glass at home when I was growing up, like a bird with it's beak in the air. Per gift giving, my sister happens to like brass and she likes unusual stuff so I head for the flea market when shopping for her. This year I found these interesting cordials. Cost $6.00 and a lot of *elbow grease* to shine them up nice. I'm excited to get them in the mail to her.
