Another seed exchange choice besides the BC Alpine Garden Club, is the Ontario Rock Garden Society. They offer 60 packets of seed to all members (contributers and non-contributers) at a cost of $10 (membership is $25 I think). They have a great website with lots of info on germinating seeds. Most seeds are alpines, but they do offere quite a few woodlanders and a few trees, shrubs and standard perennials. http://www.onrockgarden.com

thank you guys. A friend in the rose forum told me a bit about the history of discussion of the Guru Garden in its discovered connection to this site/the advertising/the buddy system and "open exchange of information" . I do wish one of you could have been a bit less circumspect, but it makes more sense now.

I'm housebound too with a sick husband and a (today) rotten teenager. My fuse is perhaps shorter than it might be in the long long days of summer.

Am so glad that Pickering Nurseries are still in business. Was very sad when they closed. Used to do that run, Pickering Nurseries, White Rose, Picov, White Rose Whitby, some others down below 401, then finally White Rose in Oshawa where they always seemed to have orphaned plants at the back. Picked up some great tree paeonies there. There was one on Shepard too, can't remember its name. Maybe it was a White Rose too.

Too many years ago.

Hi everyone
I have been having problem getting connected to the web , i have been infested by SPYWARE for the past few days , tonight it took 2 hours to be able to go on the web and last night i tried and tried without success . We will have it reprogram in about a week so everthing will be back to nornal i hope . About the www.thegurugarden.com , i recommed them for seeds , they have a great selection of them and rignt now they have a clearance sale a .75 cents a pack . it is really worth it . I have ordered from them a few time and i'm very satisfied . , i'm going on there site right now to order my seeds while the computer is working well
