I have been given 3 cuttings, 2 6" end cuttings and one 6" stem cutting of this plant (bright pink, double form) and supposedly very hard to strike - has anyone any experience of it in particular. Most other buddleias are pretty easy. I have been collecting some species budds. which are sometimes not so obliging. (Its mid winter here)

Lucky you! Unfortunately, B. colvillei is virtually unknown in the U.S. and I've had no experience with it. I am hesitant to recommend anything that I haven't tried myself.
