Has anyone tried this method of artificially exposing the morning glory to shorters days to see if it makes the bloom form earlier?

Sounds like a good way for those of use with short seasons to get more seeds.

Short Day Experiments?
Hi Susan...
I thought about trying it this past summer but as you know, there's just not enough time to tend for morning glories, grasses, daylilies and hostas! LOL
I was going to try it this winter when my former employer told me I could use their massive enclosed glass stairwell as a greenhouse, but then they downsized and sent me packing.
I think I'm going to put "greenhouse" on my Christmas list and tell DH that's all he has to get me! One attached to the house of course. Yeah, like that's gonna happen!
If you give it a try, keep us posted how it works out!
Thanks
Sandy
