Is there a forum that addresses propagation methods? I have a large fuchsia called gartenmeister and cut the tops out before taking them to the basement for the winter. We made an arrangement with the flowering tops.. But afterwards, I decided to removed the bloom area and try to root the stems. They are woody, a few green, but mostly brown. All I did was dip them into rootone and stick them in some nice potting mixture. Will the time in the water ruin them? I was careful not to keep any that appeared a bit rotted. Also, there were no leaves on them as the lower part of the stems did not have leaves.
germinating, rooting, cuttings, layering, etc
Here is a link to the Propagation Forum. I hope someone there can help you. http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/propagation/
