Then I thought I'd end with hoya blue:

Ooops, wrong picture... Just kidding, the guy with buds on his Hoya blue now says there is only about 1 or 2 weeks left before they open and we'll finally know if it is blue or not. In the meantime, enjoy my Hyacinth. I sure am enjoying the fragrance of it!

Ewwwww Ahhhhh, again they are all just beautiful... I'm liking that yellow picta. Oh and your H. hyacinth.....:) The out come of this "blue" hoya will be very interesting. Let us know. Not that I could ever afford one.. Thanks for pictures, going to go give all mine the blooming speech again.

Thank you Christina, you made my day, again! I am just green with envy, in a good way, at how you grow your hoyas inside!! One day, I want to be just like you!! Hopefully, in the very near future...

Christina,
I'm new to hoyas. I purchased 3 last summer which were doing great until I brought this epi home that I had purchased at a plant sale. I thought at first it was scale now I'm pretty sure its spider mites. They were on the top shelf of my bakers rack on the patio so I did not see the infestaton when it first started. Now the stems are slowly being encrusted with a hardened brown substance. I've been sterilizing everything I can.I've been spraying with neem oil weekly. More of my plants are now infected. So far I've lost 4 plants. Help I'm so discouraged, I'm ready to burn down the back porch to get rid of these varmits.
Your plants are the most beautiful things I think I have ever seen.

Christina...your hoyas are just beautiful. Do they all have a wonderful fragrance? Deb

Christina, I think it would be wonderful if you and our other Swedish friends could start a thread and tell us how you get so many blooms in your cold climate. It seems crazy that I live in a sub tropical climate, grow my hoya outdoors for 8 months of the year, and don't get anywhere near the blooms you get.
What do you feed them? How often? Please tell us your secrets....

Thanks,

Susan

Susan, I don't feed my hoyas anything. A little new soil and a good shower in the spring and I try to repeat that after the summer. I give them Provado sticks, which has very little fertilizer twice a year and once in a while I remember to add some SuperThrive when I water. Perhaps it's the darker and colder period we get during the winter... I really don't know! I sure don't have any secrets for getting them to bloom - they just do!

In the spring (after repotting) I will start giving them Eleanor's VF-11 and then we'll see what happens!!!

Christina, have I asked you what kind of soil you use? If I understand your thread right, you repot them every year. That must be a very long process.

They're just beautiful Christina. Thank you so much for sharing more of your pictures.
