Posting for seed trades

Has anybody posted any seed trades here yet in this forum? When do you usually trade your Japanese morning glory seed.

I've gathered quite a bit of new seeds for this year on my japanese morning glories, But Can't post pictures of each variety till I get in my new cord to hook my scanner up to my laptop with, all my pictures are just that, pictures, and have to be scanned. No flowers left to take more photos of, so I wasn't going to post my seed trade yet till I got that taken care of.

But was curious to know if anybody is trading jap. morning glory seeds yet.

I didn't go to the seed forum, cause I'm only looking for the japanese morning glories, and have other jap. mg. seeds to trade for them . When I can post proper pictures of each variety LOL

So, Am I getting the cart before the horse sor t of thing here !!!!!!!! LOL

Whew! Sorry it took so long to get back here. I still never did get my scanner going to scan the pictures of my morning glories, I'm just going to have to take the laptop and the scanner to my computer guy and let him figure it out.

very few heian kaori, I think it has a no inbetween those two words, the package that came from japan didn't have that No inbetween the neian kaori

Zem, I don't know why I didn't see your message till just now, thread didn't pop up on my watdched list till Emma posted. That's strange.


Would love to trade, There are a few i'm running short of . I have like 4 or 5 of the kaori left. that will be it, and a few of the sanzanami, enough to trade 2 folks with .

that will be it for those. and out of blue tie die after Emma.

The rest I still have plenty of except the heian no umi, I have oh say 30 of those, maybe, beni chidori, chiaki , ukigamo blue blizzard, I have lots of those.

Funny you should ask that, I'm still working on getting the darned scanner hooked up to my new laptop, never did take it to the shop yet, but I did take pictures of the pictures LOL

Some of the coloring is off on the pictures. because of taking pictures of pictures. I'll let you know which ones are off though

This is the heian no um which is badly discolored the actual flower is more fushia colored , and the blue blizzard, this was the first flower to bloom a tad smaller than the rest and the others had a better white rim around the edges.

beni chidori, discolored, it's more fushia colored than this, and has a white ring around the edges.

Been so busy , haven't had time to think straight.

hope this helps, sorry their so badly discolored. I'll get time to get that scanner hooked up sooner or later, but I have to let go of the laptop for a couple days to do that, not ready to give it up yet.

The very last picture posted? the blue one is the blue picotee I dont have the blue silk, The second one from the bottom is the Henka asagao/blue blizzard.

The last picture of 4, the lower left pic. I've seen lately where there is a jmg with a japanese name that is the same that we know as blue silk. The pictures in the link you sent, the middle one does not appear to be blue silk to me.

I'll ask Dottnmd to have a look at this thread, she's sending me some blue silk we'll see if they look anything like hers. I was given these by a generous trader here on Daves last year. she also was selling them on ebay. She called them Henka Asugao Blue blizzard. I've not known them by any other name.

OH Crud, wait a minute, I"m on the 3rd picture, not the last picture. LOL the last picture I posted, down on the bottom row, left is beni chidori, badly discolored, should be fushia colored really, and the next one to that is the blue picotee. Which neither one look anything like the blue tie die.

I'msorry if I confused you, I'm really confused as to how you think either one of those two bottom 4th pictures could look like the blue silk though.

I"m sorry Budgielover, I must be really confused. Are you talking about the last picture I posted? or the first picture I posted, and your thinking the b lue tie die looks like the blue silk. ??? I'm having a rough day Sorry about not being able to figure out which one your talking about.

lol oK, I got it now, glad you marked it, I'm soooooo slow sometimes. It does look similar to the blue silk, but the blue silk is a darker color than the blue tie die from the pictures i've seen,

I bought that seed from japan. the name of the seed was actually not blue tie die, it was called

OH I just checked the seed packets, I found a mistake, I will go back and pm everyone I've traded with to let them all know about the ukigamo

In this picture, the one on the left facing you is Yagaruma, I was calling it this in the beginning somewhere along the line I started calling it ukigamo. The RED/White STRIpe is not Ukigamo , it's Yagaruma, I got these straight from Japan off that web site, I can't find the web site does anybody know? which one it is,

And the Blue tie die/floating cloud As budgielover says, Is actually ukigamo/floating cloud. I got the two confused. I hope this doesn't upset some folks, I will go back and fix things. I appologize for this everybody. If you received either of these two, I will go find you and p.m. you.

Here's the picture, LEFT is Yagaruma RIGHT is UKIGAMO/floating cloud. Someone told me it was blue tie die when I posted the actual picture of the ukigamo flower, cause it didn't look like the one in this seed packet.

Betcha can't say all that again. LOL

Still confused. I don't think Ukigamo/floating cloud is the same as blue tie dye.

Your right it isn't, someone said it was, I don't think it is either. Sorry.

I'm sticking with the name on the package that I bought. LOL
