Thant sounds good. Violet Barn has nice 2.50 pots white and Bluebirds has short pots too.

Wow what I wouldn't give to be able to visit, but I am not sure that I'd be able to make up my mind on just a few...I'd either still be there or I'd be trying to explain the money I spent on one of each to my DH.
LOL. What fun and thank you so much for sharing the pictures. Wish there was something like that near me but so far looks like I'd have a long drive.

Who says you only get to go to Heaven once! Today, nanna & I returned!! We had a sunny spring day that was easily the equal of the gorgeous autumn day we enjoyed on our previous road trip. Sorry, but neither of us brought along a camera this time.
We had a fabulous day visiting and chatting and catching up. What a wonderful lady she is, and what a good friend! She showed up with an armload of plants, too... but I promised her that the big smile on my face when I opened the door was for her, not for the stunning gloxinia she was carrying! :-)
We tried hard to exercise restraint at VG, but you know how that is..... Well, if we didn't at least try at the outset to restrain ourselves, we would've left with many many more plants, LOL!
I'll download some pics & post them soon, but had to tell everyone about our wonderful day right away tonight!
Here's the list of what I came away with. Allison, I'll try to send at least leaves of the ones on your list that you didn't get, and I'll probably be putting down leaves from all.
Sterling Trinket (mosaic)
Raspberry Sizzle (mosaic)
Trinket Terrific (mosaic)
Deer Path (trailer)
Little Crystal
Buckeye Evermore Freckles
Lil Ballerina (Allison has dibs on spare leaves)
Merlot Trail (bustled leaves, burgundy wasp blooms, and a trailer!)
Baker Pink Star
Ruth's Gal (girl)
Ramblin Reflections (variegated girl leaf trailer!)
Skagit Victory Trails (girl)
Tsarina (girl)
Petite Blarney (girl)
Star Wars (girl)
Lil Dutch Girl (girl, 3 tiny plantlets in pot!)
Goldilocks (girl)

Lil Dutch Girl
Goldilocks :((
I've been growing Star Wars awhile sent Lorry plant hope my babu that Mom leaf pulls threw ! It's a vintage I have been reading about it in old Gesneriads journal ~
Pictures please !
Nanna what did you get !
As I said, Allison, I'll see what I can do about sharing the plants I picked up. Goldilocks can spare a couple of leaves, as can Lil Ballerina. I will see what's what with the pot of Lil Dutch Girl... She had slightly larger single plantlets of Little Dutch Girl, but the foliage was growing pretty wacky on them, so I'd have had to trim any of them back until they were about the size of the little plantlets I got in my pot... I need to check the root systems and see if the little plantlets can be separated or not... I don't want to send you another "too small sucker lost in the dirt!" Are you still interested in the mosaic leaf plants? It looks like there may be an extra little plantlet in the 'Sterling Trinket' pot :-), and I can send you leaves of the other two (Raspberry Sizzle & Trinket Terrific) in my trade box. See, aren't you glad I didn't get that box out this morning before our trip? LOL
Thank you Jill :)) I'd say no , no room , blah blah, cahn't take care of..blah blah but those were the ones I've been wanting long time and could not even get last year :((. I will be happy with anything of the little girl's :)) I love the mosaic and any Champion's Av's.
I am going to shoot getting you plants to you Monday ! And Annabelle leaves too ! Any others wanted any and all please tell me I will send them your way. :))
Allison
Good Morning All!!. Again, Jill is right. Second trip was not second best. What a great day. I left to pick up Jill at 9:15am. The ride to Frederick was peacefull. All the traffic was in the southbound lanes or 270 and I was headed north. As soon as I turned off the interstate I remembered the way to Jill's. She lives in a beautiful subdivision in Frederick MD. I arrived about 10:00 and we greeted, called for directions to VG, and chatted the entire day.
We arrived at VG about noonish and what a pleasant time we had talking av's with the owners. Sharing bits and pieces of information about this and that plant. The owners remembered us from our last visit and were very eager to help us find just the right plants.
My picks of the day were:
Berry Splash (replaced the one I lost)
Fisherman's Paradise
Frozen in Time
Pink Sensation (This was the pick of the owner)
Opera's Il Straniero
Ness Cherry Smoke
L'Heure Bleu (I lived in France for two years and loved the name "Blue hour" and the color)
Pink Duchess (2 1/2 inch blooms of the most gorgeous raspberry, ruffled, lightly edged in white, almost fantasy with darker raspberry)
Ness Silver Cypress (fell in love with the photo in VG catalogue)
Blue Boy (one of the original 10)
Golden Autumn (white with yellow spreading center. The petals are frilled and curl under. Must see. Will send picture)
We spent at least an hour at the Gallery and then headed to Gettysburg for tea. Tuesday in Gettysburg is "Everything is Closed Day". So we headed home and decided to stop at the Cozy Inn in Thurmont (where Camp David is located). We had a wonderful buffet lunch and returned to Jills about 3:00pm
Jill filled my heart and arms with goodies of her own growing. Here is that list:
Peppers for my veggie garden
scented geraniums
ponytail plants
perenials for my English Garden at the front door, and violets.
Guessarro (was supposed to be Gundaroon but turned out pink)
Southern Delight
Winnie the Pooh
Apache Victory
Cloud Puff
Plumbery Glow
Biscayne Trail
Milky Way Trail
Smitten Kitten
Rob's Bunny Hop
Pride of Columbus
Atchafalaya Basm
Tiger Trail, and
Madeleine
Holy Cow! what wonderful gifts. Jill has soo many starter plants. She can surely grow them.
I left JIlls a little after 5:00 and missed all the traffic coming home. Home by 6 - ish and totally collapsed. What a wonderful day. Couldn't ask for more. Beautiful weather, charished friend, lovely flowers, and wonderful memories.
Pictures later today.

Nanna your campanula is beautiful ! Where did you get her ! Do you have to worry about pest from her and your new plants ?
Do you have a picture of your Pink Sensation ?
Thanks for sharing your beauties !
Pink Sensation is not blooming as yet. I don't have a picture. I'm not worried about pests from the campanula. I got her at the garden shop I go to. She was with the strep and orchids. It's a new area in the store and away from all the other plants. I washed and rinsed it when I brought her home. She was on the dining room table to be seperate from other plants. I have now moved her to the family room and the dining room table was washed and cleaned and is now the new home for the violets until I can clean and repot them. Everything I brought home is ready for new pots and new soil. Thursday will be my rearranging day.
I've never seen a campanula before. The lilac color is breath taking and the little flowers are pointed petal bells.
It really was a fun day.
I wanna go!!!
Seriously guys, awesome flowers!!
Janis
Campanula Is beautiful ! Nice for Rock Gardens too "__
Wow, great photos! DH is working from home today, so may have to wait to download & process photos I took last night of my new beauties... I cannot get oer the stunning huge blooms on the Gloxinia that Nanna gave me!
I *love* your new campanula, especially in that wonderful elephant planter!! I wonder if it might be hardy for you.... you could plant it out when it's done blooming. I have a 'Blue Clips' campanula that I just put into the perennial bed.... no blooms yet, but it looks happy! Then again, you did say it was with the orchids in the shop... so maybe it's a tender variety.
i LOVE THE campanula too ! And the unique Elephant pot . When I first looked at the campanula I thought it looked like a Streptocarpus plant. I had one that bloomed crazy and looked simular to you campanula plant in the picture ! It was very easy to take clippings and root to new plants, hanging baskets, new plants grew fast from it I gave them away, butterflies loved it. Then I planted it in the garden bed and between the hot sun and heat I lost it :((. So maybe sometime might be fun to make new little plants from cuttings to use outside in rock garden or hanging basket. Mom use to make the best rock gardens each year while we were growing up and lived in R. I. :))
I don't think it is hardy. The tag said for window boxes after frost. Bring in for winter. Lasts for years.
sounds good ! Beautiful plant !
