Ever wonder if your city or town had a public web site, not the governmental one but one run by the citizens?
About a month ago I found the one in my city through a newspaper article.
Now there a site to help anyone in the US and Canada find theirs or start one.
A free on-line service created by a handful of students and teachers at M I T.
You just type in a postal zip code after you register.

These sites often have a lot of complaining about elected officials, but they are a great source of other info as well.
I check mine daily, we have had a lot of flooding lately.
