I had not realized that brazilian morning glories had tuft of hair on the sides until Ron posted a pic of his seed. Interesting seed.

I did get a few seeds off one vine. I have a bunch ripening on another and am keeping fingers crossed that we dont get some unseasonal weather.

its down right freezing here and i am not far above you state wise.


the tuffs of hair are cool looking though.

So far, so good. I am only a couple of blocks off the bay inlet and the beach is just over the bridge, so it is usually a few degrees warmer right where I am at.

I wonder what the evolutionary adaptive value might be for having such hairs on the seed coat?
