Moon vine seeds question...

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

I have a bunch of potential seed pods on my moon flower vine. We are possibly going to get close to freezing if not there in the next couple of days. They are not nearly that close to being ready. Will they continue to mature in the cold? I haven't gotten any seeds matured yet and would love to have them.

Is there anything I can do to protect them?

Any help you can give me will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Cover them with cloth/sheets during nights to protect them from frost. If it gets to cold even daytime I would cut off a longer peace of vine and try to put it in water.
I have done so with other plants to give the pods more growingtime.

Thanks Janett! I will give that a try. There are so many nice looking pods trying to form, last year I lost them all to frost. Had to buy new seeds this year again!
I love this vine, but it waits so long to start blooming that it doesn't have time for the seeds to make.

It realle is a beauty, next year, try to preegrow it in a container a month before you can put it outside and let it climb on a trellis. That way you may have a longer bloomtime in the summer and if the seedpods is not ready to pick when it comes to frost times you can maby put the whole plant indoors.

Really struggling to save these. I don't think it is going to work, but I am still at it.

Thought you would like to see a picture of moonvine under blankets. LOL

Have the seedpods got any bigger? Do you have any chance to maybe get them down from the fense and maybe take them inside. I see that they are in containers!

No way.... They are completely intertwined with the chain link. They have gotten a little bit bigger, but really slowed down when we started being in the 40's at night. We are supposed to be warming up a bit for the next few days, but I don't have a lot of hope that they will have enough time. Still gonna keep covering them up as long as I can. Once it gets too cold even the blankets won't help.
