Is anyone growing Espeletia?

Just curious if anyone is growing any Espeletia species in Cali. They are from the Andes and related to Sunflowers.

I'm assuming that since some grow in snow, they have cold tolerance. What are some of the other factors to be made aware of? Any particular species that are more favored than others?
