A new mini brug

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I think this one is kind of cute. The color sure is intense. I coudln't find the tag, it must be deep in the pot but I figure it is Golden Lady X .

She is adorable! I hope that she smells good, too!

I finally had a bloom open on one of your crosses, Kell. It's one of the Rosamond x ?, turning pink, but almost no tendrils at all, and a light versicolor type fragrance. I'll take a picture when it finishes coloring up. I have buds on other plants, but this was the first one to open.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee, I wonder where that one came from Ronna. The only versi I think I have in the yard is Ecuador Pink which rarely blooms. I have a lot of suavs though so maybe it got crossed with one. Though I try to pull out all the anthers on all my suavs when they open just to prevent that from happening. Funny you would post, I was thinking of you all weekend.

Thanks for all your commnets. Yes, it is a very small flower though has a chunky opening. It is about 5 inches long. It has a heavy but pleasant fragrance. I brought 4 flowers home to collect the pollen for I fogot to bring my pollen collecting kit with me today. The fragrance is still strong.

It has the typical Golden Lady seedling trait of sticking its stamen out advertising. I love that look. Here is a new one from today just opening.

The plant stands aobut 4 ft tall. I am not sure why it is so short. Some are. It is planted in heavy clay.

Here is a flower that is fully mature that I picked to bring home. You can see the color in comparison to a pink one.

Beautiful color on your bloom. Another double how wonderful. I checked my blooms and the stamen is not sticking out, I think that's a good trait in your plant.
