Zephryanthes candida 2005 offer

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

hiya Sorgina,

Sorry that I didn't get the dmail. Our zones are pretty similar and our climates are almost identical so I'm thinking whatever you send that grows for you will probably be fine for us as well...Thanks!! I'm taking off tomorrow for a horse related function for a week and a half in Texas so I'll be mailing off woodthrush's and the Illinois envelopes. Those of you who have recently mailed and don't hear from me for a while, I'm in Texas hopefully NOT buying more horses....lol.

best to all,
don.

My postage went out this afternoon, so you should receive it when you return. Have a great trip to TX! Tell us all about your new horses when you return, LOL. :-)

Critter, they didn't over winter for me. :(

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Thanks for the additional info, Badseed. I'm going to do the same thing with them as with some pink rain lily bulbs I got as a bonus.... plant just 1 or 2 this fall in a nice protected spot, then plant the rest of them in spring. If those couple of bulbs pop up at the end of the winter, then I'll know I don't have to lift them all in fall -- although I still might lift a couple, for "insurance."

hiya all,

Pam and I are back from our trip and I'll be mailing all of the envelopes out on Monday that I have received. I'm happy to hear that so many have already put their's in the ground and or pots. Our trip was great!

I've still got enough to go around so please dmail me and I'll give you the particulars.

hiya Critterologist, your's will be on the way to MD on Monday.

I'm making an etiquette call. I've sent out so many of these and have received very few notifications of receipt. I really need to put a complete stamp on a bunch of the stuff I sent out. Please do me a small favor and let me know via dmail how many of you have gotten your bulbs.

thanks a ton,
don

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

I am soooo sorry. I could have sworn that I posted that I received my package and they are great, but now I can't find it, so I guess I must have dreamed that.

Thank you so much.

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Don, I got mine Monday and they look great. Sorry about the delay in letting you know. Hosting two different family Thanksgivings has overwhelmed me. I just potted them up today as soon as I got home.

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

Thank you all for notifying me as I can now cross these off as completed.

I hope you all have a very happy and peaceful holiday.

The following left in today's post. Enjoy!

As far as hardiness and evergreenness (Is that a word?) Evergreenity. Winter-leaf-retention.
Anyhow: Here is a picture of a clump from one bulb this spring, taken two minutes ago; The temperature was 9.5 degrees farenheit last night, and the leaves are fine. I think that a heavy mulch or sunny spot could overwinter them in parts of Zone 6. Isn't this species supposed to be the hardiest?
