Yes, like all the others, for something stupid. I posted under my own post and wrote "posting to bring this to the top" and boom. Disney here I come. I wasn't a newbie thou, I've been there for 3 years. I saw many people doing this and didn't think anything of it. Spike says, "you should have read the rules" but in the rules it doesn't say you can't do it. Anyways, I really tried to get back on but you know, he is the gardenweb lord and he makes up the rules as he goes. For the same reasons, some are banned and some aren't. Go figure.

So glad people told me about this place. I can't go thru life without trading and reading about plants and stuff.

I am not as mature as some of you and am very upset by this. I am not ready to let it go just yet. I will probably get over it but for now, if some of you want to get some stuff off your chest, please email me. I feel good knowing I am not alone.

Tell me the terrible things you did and all you did to get unbanned. I am very interested in your story.

I have seen people post to get to the top. I have even done it a couple of times. You know it is really funny that people that don't do anything to hurt others get banned and people that are out to cause trouble on the site can get away with it. Go figure. Welcome to our happy little (but growing by the day) gardening group.

Welcome to Dave's Garden, Tina! Glad you could join us! Don't get too upset about being banned from Garden Web...you're really better off, and you'll get over it with a little time...I promise! You're not the first to be banned from there for a VERY stupid reason, and I'm sure you won't be the last! Just keep telling yourself that you're too good for them anyway! (cuz you are!) Don't know of anyone who's ever gotten "un-banned"....don't even know if that's possible as long as Spike rules the roost there either! You can still view their posts, and email anyone you want that has a post there anyway. So cheer up, deary. Hi Tina,
You have been such a wonderful trader and very consciencious about how you send seeds, too. I was impressed with the time you took to package and send seeds when I traded with you at the Garden Web. Spike is an over-controlling person who is driving away many wonderful seed traders for silly and stupid things. Don't take it personally, though, about being banned. I was also banned (I still don't know why) but I still trade over there. I have figured out a way to override controls on Garden Web but to tell you the truth, I don't even like it there anymore. The people made the Garden Web but Spike has left a sour note about the site. Maybe people should send Garden Web complaints NOT TO Spike but TO THE PAID SPONSORS AND ADVERTISERS.
On a more positive note...Davesgarden site here is fabulous! Although I am a new member to this site, I feel as though Dave has more of a genuine welcoming attitude for people. I hope this site really takes off and becomes all that it can be and more. Good people with good ideas always prevail. So keep your chin up Tina because you are amongst friends :)

Hello Tina! Glad you found your way here...I am a newbie to Dave's Garden also but am thrilled to find an organized (and fun) way to keep up with my trades...I see that a few of the gardeners listed here have requested my triple yellow Datura seeds as you did on GW...and I know you and I will make lots of great friends here.
