CLOSED: crocosmia seeds

Sultan, WA(Zone 8a)

I just trimmed all the seed pods off the crocosmia and would love to share! I don't have time to pry all the little seeds out, so I've left them in and let it all dry out. There are enough for 12 people with 5 or 6 stems of seed pods in each envelope.
You'll have to send a SASBE or an envelope with bubble wrap in it or just 2 stamps. So post here if you'd like some.

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Got my seeds today and already cleaned them. I have to sow them yet. I plan to winter sow them so I won't have to stratify them in the fridge. So glad I got in on this when someone canceled. Thanks, Windy

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

OH!! Do I need to stratify them?
=^..^=

Ashland, NE(Zone 5a)

Renwings...got my seeds today! Sending you a few various colored iris bulbs as a thank you!

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

9kittymom,
Crocosmia seeds should be sown as soon as ripened. They can be sown in a cold greenhouse. Mine will be sown in a plastic container covered with a heavy plastic wrap or inside one of the zipper bags that blankets and comforters are bought in and kept outdoors in a protected area. I am not fortunate enough to have a greenhouse. LOL
edited for spelling, I must have been tired.

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

I don't have a greenhouse either. I will have to think how to do this.
Thanks for the advice!
Susan

Sultan, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks for posting that, windy!

Thanks, breeze03 for the iris. I got them today and panicked, thinking I had forgotten to send my part of a trade! They arrived in wonderful shape!

Seeds will go out for
darmadoll (thanks for the seeds and the stamps!)
in the am.

Sultan, WA(Zone 8a)

I found a picture I took this year of the crocosmia when it was blooming. So you'll have an idea of what it looks like.
I have two packets of seeds left. Who still needs to send me an SASBE? I've lost track.
