might it be the ginger? smaller leaves in tight rows all on two sides even? I think thats the ginger it can be planted in any moist place and will do good.

...this is the Bamboo looking thing, I saw it at the HD in soil. I cut it back to see what it will do, I hope its not too late ... I love this plant.
Yep top one is the Butterfly Ginger and the Paparus (sp?) and yes the second one is the horsetail rush (I think that is what it is called at least that is what I have heard it called). Dont cut back the rush! Yes it will grow in soil but do much much much better in the water.

I already cut it mitch...it was falling over. :( so i can plant the ginger ...good...will place it next to the Pickeral.

The water looks good. It the rush dies let me know I have a ton of it. Do you have any soil in there? You need soil with them but not the type with the white balls in it they release something into the water that makes it look like oil IMHO! How are the mini cattails doing?
