tazzy - The blue yojiro looks like "Mai Sugata" to me...Ohiobreezy posted pictures of the "Tobihino" that she got here

tazzy - Well,I looked at the packets you posted and your description correlates with the translations that I have...the packet you have shown on the left is "Kannami" and the packet on the right is "Tobihino"...Sometimes companies make mistakes, sometimes people growing the seeds out make mistakes...regarding the yojiro you posted here
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1789611
I would agree with Emma that it looks exactly like the "Chachamaru"...
Love that Rose silk
Joan
tazzy,
Great flowers there.
That is unusual and just beautiful and I'll bet you are proud of it....I would definatily tag that bloom you just might have more unusuals come out of it.
Where did you get the seed?
and I agree with everyone else the spoke one is "ChaCha Maru" and I to was dissappointed that it bloomed a brownish instead of the Bright Orange..........
I have noticed that the Chocolate and Rose Silks both have a difference in comman, I have several that are very ruffled or frilly and as opposed to the ones that are flatter. I wonder if this is a different variety.............the blooms of the more ruffled are always larger than the "Normal" Chocolate or Rose Silk and they are generally a shade lighter in color.....
Thanks so much for posting your pictures..........
Dee
tazzy,
How lucky you are that you got the 'not' Japanese Morning Glories as labeled.
Do you have other photos you can post for us.
They are all beauties.
Emma
Absolutely Gorgeous, tazzie
Just LOVE your HUGE Blue one.
Wonder what the name of that one is!
Emma
tazzy - I had no idea that MG came in so many colours and designs. I wondered at first why a MG forum was wanted, but I'm beginning to see the light. lol
Joan
all of the Blues except die hard star of yelta or gradpa otts ?? came out of mixed package that says (pharbitis nil chois } i planted dark blue double picitoe pk, but not a one came up lucky all dint come up or i would be useing machette to get out front door LOL . maybe next year ?
All the photos are just awsome. Could the large blue one (third row down, third flower to the right) be "Clarks Heavenly Blue"?
I noticed it is kinda square edged..........
I am so sorry to see the season winding down and everyone collecting seeds and taking last photos. Just wish we had longer.........sigh...
This photo is "Blue Star"
Dee
Tazzy - that first photo you posted on this thread of the Cardinal Climber next to the purple flower......is that on the same plant as the red flower? Very curious.
Dennis
