I don't think you can go wrong with any of the weigelia. They are consistent with a second bloom period for us in Ohio, too.

Your plant is a beauty! Ours are just babies compared to that awesome specimen.

Howdy Ozboy and soOh - I really love weigela 'Wine and Roses', do you know if the flowers are fragrant? Every time I see it, I covet. LOL

The flowers of my 'W&R' aren't particularly fragrant, not like the species weigela I have growing right next to it. THAT one is heavenly. I planted 3 other varieties this year, so I'll be interested in their fragrances.
