I recvd some seed from an exchange last year (from a different forum) that was suppose to be lavendar, I gave them to my mother who was dissappointed when that's not what came up. We've been looking for some more, we think they are awesome.

I always liked being third in line, it's usually smack dab in the middle of a bunch of great friends! :*)

Everyone, I have dissapointed people in the past promising seeds from plants that ended up not producing. Search for old threads on Ipomoea pandurata. Anyway, no talk of seed trades until I have seeds to trade. If you had ever been on Emma's bad side, you would know what I mean! :)

Anyway, I realized that the plant files list this as "Pink Moonvine" not "Lavender". Unless someone says that the database is wrong, I'll be changing my site to say Pink, not Lavender. Sorry about that.

Beautiful! How late do the blooms stay open in the morning?

Susan,
Thanks. Sorry to say it, but for me these always closed by the time the sun comes up.

I recently dug up three that never flowered or grew well probably because they were not getting enough sun. Interesting bulbs. I have potted these for overwintering.

The bloom looks very much the same as my (I think) I. turbinata. Hardly any color on the corolla. But it isn't macrorhiza that I have, as the foliage on it is quite like that of I. alba.
