LOL you have to love the nice looking girls for scale I have always enjoyed it. As for the size I have seen that form up to 10 ft tall. A friend of my dads had a bet who could grow one the largest. Ours got about 7ft his got about 10 ft with some huge 4ft leaves. Their are a few tricks to getting them that large one of the most over looked is to keep off any pups each year. Some plants will want to pup and spread but if you force it to use its energy into making one plant you can get a monster out of it rather than a field of it.
Who wants "You can't kill me" EE for postage?
Ah ha! Most excellent, dude! This guy (the original plant) gets really "abused" in the fall when I bring them up from the ground. After bringing the root ball up and allowing to dry, I seperate anything that has pupped up on the main corm. Of course, I now have a LOT of smaller corms! I enjoy having a grouping of the first 3 or 4 stalks that come up in springtime ... gives the plant a much fuller look. But alas ... next year I'll keep Mama-san pup free and probably set up a drip system ... finally.
Leslie,
The EE's arrived today along with the seeds. Thank you so much.
We are going to start a new species with them. The "Island Albino Elephant Ear" LOL
They are completely white but as moist as ever so we are 100% confident they will regain their color....maybe or maybe not. Look for that new species in PlantFiles.
Do you have paypal so I can send you shipping or would you prefer a check or MO. We have a Bank of America account so it would not be held up.
Please take some time and browse through my journal and see if there is anything there you want. I have dups of most. I have not set up my trade list yet.
Let me know how you prefer payment for the shipping.
Thanks again for the seeds and the EE's. That was sweet.
Karen
Believe you me, they'll be green in no time! LOL
Sir Buck,
They have regained their color quickly.
Darn, I thought I had a new species.

Boy we all gather when someone says free. Maybe some early and others later.
I have had ee for many years and I didn't know they bloomed until this year. I had two that bloomed. One that I bought as Black Runner and Nancy's Revenge. I wish I had thought about crossing and they were blooming at the same time. Just so excited to see a bloom it never crossed my mind to cross them. Maybe next time.
Black Nancy Running .... lol ...
LOL I went out today and my Black Illistris is forming one also. Yeah a NR with a black streak instead of a white streak, or a black runner with a white streak.
