Another "duh" question about Moonflower vine

Can I let my Moonflower vine hang and drape instead of climb? Will this affect the plant's ability to grow or produce flowers?

Allowing the vines to 'drape' without them doing their best to re-climb right back up their own stems may be tricky,but if the plants are getting the sun and moisture they need,they should flourish...they do like to climb though...

They do, they do. However, the only sunny spot where I would be able to enjoy their blooms from (when they bloom!) is not good for trellising. They will just have to drape down the railings and twine all over each other :~)
